We accentuated the architectural design of this guest bathroom with our hand painted artwork. We applied our design in a faded fresco style of painting. Our artwork framed in the multi colored metallic silk plaster that we also applied to the wall areas. A beautiful bathroom was the end result!! Copyright © 2016 The Artists Hands

An incredible antique figural pier mirror, originally found in the Belmont Mansion of Nashville, TN. Dating from 1873, the gilded mirror is crowned with a female bust; the sides of mirror feature beautiful carvings in high relief with understated Neoclassical motifs. Pier mirrors were typically used in the reception rooms of 19th century homes and placed on a wall between two windows that supported an upper structure. The substantial mirror measures 132-3/4" tall, 43-3/4" long and protrudes 7-1/2" from the wall. NMI33

Premonition by Jon Allen - JAC 195 The Jon Allen Collection is an exclusive, hand-selected group of my most personal work to date. Each piece is hand-painted on aluminum. My art itself and my chosen medium, aluminum, are blissfully married. You may not think of the word organic when you hear the word metal, but this is some of my most organic art and that’s simply because metal allows my work to achieve true sentience. Aluminum’s naturally reflective nature enables each color, shape, and stroke to reach its full potential. A new aspect of the painting will reveal itself to you as it basks in the light that surrounds, evades, or envelops it in that moment. When you see the piece from different angles, you will appreciate how vibrant, dynamic, and environmentally influenced these pieces are. What you may see and feel by morning is not what you’ll see or feel by dusk and in many ways, and as such I feel these pieces capture the ever-ebbing and complex nature of human emotion and perception. Some of these pieces are truly abstract while others are modern takes on traditional landscapes, marine life, and portraits. I hope you enjoy them a fraction of how much I enjoyed creating them. Inspiration for a transitional kitchen remodel in Chicago

This redesign of an outdated landscape for a waterfront home on Cape Cod reacts directly to the site conditions and existing topography. An elevated septic system has been regraded and replanted with native species to more fluidly blend with the undulations of the natural landscape, while a fountain and reflecting pool mark the level of the 100-year flood, to which the site is susceptible. The shifting series of wood decks and boardwalks appear to float and hint at the natural processes at work on the site, while providing outdoor dining and relaxation areas anchored by a bold red screen fence that ties the landscape to the architecture.
