Overlooking the breathtaking views of Bodrum, this private villa project merges modern architecture with the refined elegance of Serapool porcelain. Designed as an infinity pool, the project utilizes the Blue Bead Series, whose deep navy tones and textured surface visually merge with the sea, creating an atmosphere that is both vibrant and serene. The porcelain pool tiles offer high resistance to UV rays, chemical exposure, and thermal shocks, ensuring long-term durability. Around the pool, Beige Stone porcelain anti-slip terrace tiles provide a natural aesthetic that blends with the landscape, while the PTV ≥ 45° anti-slip rating ensures safe use along the infinity edge. Complementary details such as Blue Bead outer trim and Beige Stone flat coping pieces add refined and functional transitions at the poolside, enhancing both form and function.

A family of passionate athletes and sports aficionados embarked on a remarkable endeavor alongside our team and Studio M Merge. Their vision? To breathe new life into their outdated mid-century modern home and neglected pool, resulting in the dramatic “Sports Enthusiasts’ Hideaway.” The transformative journey focused on opening the interior spaces out toward the beautiful gardens and amenities. The renewed house features expanded open-plan living areas, a new bedroom, and a reimagined primary bath. An attached ADU added a sports bar and a flexible office space that can double as a private guest bedroom. The outdoor spaces were brought to life with the addition of expansive decks, inviting patios, a horseshoe pit, a basketball half-court, refreshing plunge pools, and a lush sports lawn. A pool house artfully frames the view from the pool to the neighboring golf course. This family of five finds themselves immersed in their expanded home and experiential outdoor hideaway. Every element has been thoughtfully designed to cater to their favorite activities, providing a peaceful haven where they can fully indulge their shared passion for sports.

The plan for this 24 acre Ohio property celebrates the native forest and grass meadows found in the Midwest merged with the client’s love for modern and contemporary design. Lush perennial plantings and a high productive vegetable garden help to merge the traditional and contemporary style of the home––building upon the surrounding hardwood forest and Midwest meadow lands.

A minimal insertion into a densely wooded landscape, the Collector’s Pavilion provides the owners with an 8,000 sf private fitness space and vintage automobile gallery. On a gently sloping site in amongst a grove of trees, the pavilion slides into the topography - mimicking and contrasting the surrounding landscape with a folded roof plane that hovers over a board formed concrete base.
The clients’ requirement for a nearby room to display a growing car collection as well as provide a remote area for personal fitness carries with it a series of challenges related to privacy and security. The pavilion nestles into the wooded site - finding a home in a small clearing - and merges with the sloping landscape. The building has dual personalities, serving as a private and secure bunker from the exterior, while transforming into a warm and inviting space on the interior. The use of indirect light and the need to obscure direct views from the public right away provides the client with adequate day light for day-to-day use while ensuring that strict privacy is maintained. This shifting personality is also dramatically affected by the seasons - contrasting and merging with the surrounding environment depending on the time of year.
The Collector’s Pavilion employs meticulous detailing of its concrete to steel to wood connections, exploring the grounded nature of poured concrete in conjunction with a delicate wood roof system that floats above a grid of steel. Above all, the Pavilion harmonizes with it’s natural surroundings through it’s materiality, formal language, and siting.

The single family dwelling resides on Cleveland’s westside near Kaams Corner and is a replacement home to one that had recently burnt down. The client, Eden Inc. provides subsidized housing for those facing challenges of housing insecurities and homelessness.
The single level home merges accessibility with a contextually sensitive design. The property is situated amongst a neighborhood full of post war housing. The wedge shaped lot informed the houses geometry, creating a design opportunity with two rectangular volumes overlapping. One simple volume maintains it’s rectangularity and houses bedrooms and accessible bathroom while the other volume houses public functions such as entry, living, kitchen and dining.
The project merges contemporary detailing with a traditional material and form resulting in a project that fits in the neighborhood and responds to the context while remaining functional to the diverse needs of today.
