This small apartment kitchen was totally transformed. We opened up the side wall to create a more open space. The shaker door style with a rich espresso stain contrasts beautifully against the white kashmir granite countertops. We decided to use smaller scaled appliances in this space. We even were able to design a mini bar with an under counter wine cooler!

This kitchen has coziness, but still feels light and airy. To do this we created the perfect balance of light and dark tones. You can do this by combining lighter shades of wall cabinetry with a darker island. We also paired a soft, earthy back splash to create a subtle warmth. In this kitchen remodel, the white cabinets were done with IKEA Adel off white and a custom built island to match with 12" deep drawers from IKEA. The couters are Wilsonart Cararra marble with a double round over edge.. and they look incredibly real, yet super durable. The beadboard ceiling is Martha Stewart beadboard wallpaper that went right over the drywall and painted Behr "Aqua Breeze". The wals are Behr "Lightweight beige" and the flooring is Pergo Highland hickory. The farmhouse sink is also IKEA.

Grey is the biggest trend in kitchens at the moment and this one goes all out! The crown moulding all the way up to the ceiling gives this a very traditional look. The appliances here are from Samsung's Chef Collection.
