Living room - large contemporary open concept limestone floor and beige floor living room idea in New York with white walls, no fireplace and no tv

With Doug and Jan’s specific design ideas in mind, our award-winning designer Tracy West was able to create this updated look. This kitchen is a great example of how a kitchen can be transformed without changing the layout. Removing the soffit allows the new cabinets to go completely to the ceiling, adding more cabinet storage. Replacing a stand alone buffet with a built-in buffet adds permanent storage and countertop space. Including a neutral backsplash allows the countertop to really shine. What a beautiful space to entertain!
Legacy: Athena Square, Mocha
CounterTop: Cambria, Lancaster
Backsplash: Interceramic, Montreaux, Blanc

One year makes all the difference.
This corner-lot landscape was installed in February 2025 with one goal in mind: creating an outdoor space that would become even more beautiful over time.
Today, the transformation speaks for itself. The artificial turf has settled beautifully, the plants have matured, and every detail has come together exactly as planned. Thoughtful design and quality installation create landscapes that don't just look great on day one—they continue to improve year after year.
At Texan Landscape Group, we build outdoor spaces designed for lasting beauty, durability, and exceptional curb appeal.
Pro Tip: The best landscapes aren't judged by how they look the day they're installed—they're judged by how they perform and mature over the years.

MaRae Simone loves incorporating nails as accents in many of her designs. It adds an interesting masculine and industrial touch in a space. She originally received a tip that she could find these kinds of nails she envisioned from an abandoned railroad track – but once she found out that the railroad actually wasn’t abandoned, she quickly packed up her shovel and bucket and found these beauties on eBay. “There are no lengths too far for me to get what I want,” MaRae Simone says. “If I have my mind set on something, I will find a way to get it.”

These are some perfect examples of Waterfall and Book matched applications utilizing the vein patterns in this particular Granite.
Featured Stone: Maori Granite (Polished and leathered options available)
Black and white is considered to be a "timeless" look. It never goes out of style. You can utilize a veined pattern stone in a book match or waterfall application to bring in some modern touches and create a space full of drama. A successful achievement of this is done when the stone's color is paired with a contrasting shade within the same space. Take these pictures for example. You can't stop looking at the stone and the veins in the stone. Right?
Keep this tip in mind when pairing colors in your space. I find it to be especially helpful when choosing countertops, because they cover such a large area in your kitchen. Being on a horizontal plane closest to your eye level, you want them to be the focal point of your kitchen.
