Our wonderful client and friend was seeking a massive upgrade to a newly purchased home and had hopes of integrating her European inspired aesthetic throughout. At the forefront of consideration was clean-lined simplicity, and this concept is evident in every space in the home. The highlight of the project is the heart of the home: the kitchen. We integrated smooth, sleek, white slab cabinetry to create a functional kitchen with minimal door details and upgraded modernity. The cabinets are topped with concrete-look quartz from Caesarstone; a welcome soft contrast that further emphasizes the contemporary approach we took. The backsplash is a simple and elongated white subway paired against white grout for a modernist grid that virtually melts into the background. Taking the kitchen far outside of its intended footprint, we created a floating island with a waterfall countertop that can house critical cooking fixtures on one side and adequate seating on the other. The island is backed by a dramatic exotic wood countertop that extends into a full wall splash reaching the ceiling. Pops of black and high-gloss finishes in appliances add a touch of drama in an otherwise white field. The entire main level has new hickory floors in a natural finish, allowing the gorgeous variation of the wood to shine. Also included on the main level is a re-face to the living room fireplace, powder room, and upgrades to all walls and lighting. Upstairs, we created two critical retreats: a warm Mediterranean inspired bathroom for the client's mother, and the master bathroom. In the mother's bathroom, we covered the floors and a large accent wall with dramatic travertine tile in a bold Versailles pattern. We paired this highly traditional tile with sleek contemporary floating vanities and dark fixtures for contrast. The shower features a slab quartz base and thin profile glass door. In the master bath, we welcomed drama and explored space planning and material use adventurously. Keeping with the quiet monochromatic palette, we integrated all black and white into our bathroom concept. The floors are covered with large format graphic tiles in a deco pattern that reach through every part of the space. At the vanity area, high gloss white floating vanities offer separate space for his/her use. Tall linear LED fixtures provide ample lighting and illuminate another grid pattern backsplash that runs floor to ceiling. The show-stopping bathtub is a square steel soaker tub that nestles quietly between windows in the bathroom's far corner. We paired this tub with an unapologetic tub filler that is bold and large in scale. Veritas Fine Homes IncEvolved in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, this Colorado Contemporary home features a blend of materials to complement the surrounding landscape. This home triggered a blast into a quartz geode vein which inspired a classy chic style interior and clever use of exterior materials. These include flat rusted siding to bring out the copper veins, Cedar Creek Cascade thin stone veneer speaks to the surrounding cliffs, Stucco with a finish of Moondust, and rough cedar fine line shiplap for a natural yet minimal siding accent. Its dramatic yet tasteful interiors, of exposed raw structural steel, Calacatta Classique Quartz waterfall countertops, hexagon tile designs, gold trim accents all the way down to the gold tile grout, reflects the Chic Colorado while providing cozy and intimate spaces throughout.

Henne Creative LLCA 450 sqft Intimate Retreat with Sculptural Calm
Nestled in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, this 450 sqft bedroom and master bathroom project offers a quiet, introspective escape from the vibrant urban rhythm outside. Designed by Henne Creative in 2025, the space brings together rich textures, tonal harmony, and a sculptural approach to interior design.
A warm palette of dark walnut wood, deep green marble, and soft neutral textiles creates an enveloping atmosphere of calm and intimacy. The bedroom is anchored by custom green stone benches that flow seamlessly into side tables and shelving, providing both function and material continuity. Subtle art elements, low lighting, and curated decor bring a tactile serenity to the space.
The master bathroom is concealed behind elegant wooden slats, revealing a space lined with warm ceramic tiles and minimal, monolithic elements. Every material and form was selected to emphasize stillness and flow from the fluted wood detailing to the seamless transitions between surfaces.

A striking steel trellis portal welcomes guests, offering both shade and a bold contemporary statement. Exposed wood beams pay homage to classic Santa Fe style, juxtaposed with smooth painted drywall throughout the home, where a floating reglet detail at the floor enhances the crisp, seamless design.
The kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room showcase white oak cabinetry, bringing warmth and natural texture to the interiors. Katie Hutchison StudioWhen the owner of this petite c. 1910 cottage in Riverside, RI first considered purchasing it, he fell for its charming front façade and the stunning rear water views. But it needed work. The weather-worn, water-facing back of the house was in dire need of attention. The first-floor kitchen/living/dining areas were cramped. There was no first-floor bathroom, and the second-floor bathroom was a fright. Most surprisingly, there was no rear-facing deck off the kitchen or living areas to allow for outdoor living along the Providence River.
In collaboration with the homeowner, KHS proposed a number of renovations and additions. The first priority was a new cantilevered rear deck off an expanded kitchen/dining area and reconstructed sunroom, which was brought up to the main floor level. The cantilever of the deck prevents the need for awkwardly tall supporting posts that could potentially be undermined by a future storm event or rising sea level.
To gain more first-floor living space, KHS also proposed capturing the corner of the wrapping front porch as interior kitchen space in order to create a more generous open kitchen/dining/living area, while having minimal impact on how the cottage appears from the curb. Underutilized space in the existing mudroom was also reconfigured to contain a modest full bath and laundry closet. Upstairs, a new full bath was created in an addition between existing bedrooms. It can be accessed from both the master bedroom and the stair hall. Additional closets were added, too.
New windows and doors, new heart pine flooring stained to resemble the patina of old pine flooring that remained upstairs, new tile and countertops, new cabinetry, new plumbing and lighting fixtures, as well as a new color palette complete the updated look. Upgraded insulation in areas exposed during the construction and augmented HVAC systems also greatly improved indoor comfort. Today, the cottage continues to charm while also accommodating modern amenities and features.

The home is pre-civil war and this space was originally a spare bedroom that we converted into a master bathroom.
The flooring was originally heart pine which is so rare we carefully removed it to re-use it in another pat of the home.
Customer wanted a modern bathroom that still had a lot of the charm of the original style of the home. Back in the day a bathroom like this would have been all marble, we chose to go with a marble looking porcelain tile so that the maintenance is minimal. We tiled the entire floor in a herringbone pattern and did a vertical staggered stack on the walls using all 12x24 large format tile.
The vanities are a sleek modern European style with a traditional sit down vanity for the lady of the house. The countertops are Quartz.
We custom made the shower with a wall niche and built in seat with a custom made shower door and half wall panel.
Attention to detail in everything including the brass light fixtures and brass mirrors.
This is a work of art that incorporated modern with a time long gone all the while making it a low maintenance bathroom that never go out of style.

home tailored to the needs of a busy couple. The original space was outdated and lacked
cohesion, so our design focused on creating a harmonious and functional layout that reflects the
clients’ lifestyle while introducing moments of drama and creativity.
At the heart of the penthouse is an open-concept dining room, living room, and kitchen. The
living room accommodates multiple areas, including a cozy seating nook illuminated by
multicolored glass pendant lights. A dramatic custom-built feature spans the entire length of the
living room, integrating storage, display areas, and a unique guardwall that separates the
staircase to the couple's rooftop garden from the living space. This built-in showcases a dynamic
geometric design, with select sections backed in soft mauve for depth and visual interest. Along
the front of the space, a bespoke oak window seat with modern slatted wood fronts conceals the
AC and radiators while providing ample storage. The main seating area centers around a creamy
marble fireplace surround, a refined focal point in the living area. Wide-plank oak flooring
extends throughout the apartment and up the staircase, where a minimal aesthetic enhances the
clean, modern feel.
The kitchen continues the theme of modern sophistication with a palette of soft white lacquered
lower cabinets and oak upper cabinetry. The countertops and backsplash are crafted from a
striking quartzite in cream, peach, and mauve tones, adding a subtle vibrancy to the space. A
cream-enameled range takes center stage, complemented by a hidden coffee station and a
dedicated cabinet for AV supplies, ensuring a clutter-free aesthetic.
The hall guest bathroom is a playful yet refined mix of materials and textures. Peach-toned
concrete tiles cover the walls, while the floor features cream zellige tiles. Brass fixtures, a brass
mirror, and a brass wall sconce lend a touch of warmth and luxury, harmonizing with the custom
pecan-veneered vanity and custom concrete sink,
The primary bedroom suite is a serene retreat, painted in a rich, deep blue that sets a calming
tone. Accessed through a bespoke millwork closet, the ensuite bathroom is a small yet striking
space, showcasing impeccable craftsmanship. The rear wall of the shower is clad in floor-toceiling
slabs of light blue quartzite, creating a dramatic focal point visible from the bedroom.
This quartzite extends seamlessly to form a sculptural bench within the shower, which transitions
outward into a custom sink. Beneath the sink, two wood drawers provide discreet storage. The
remaining walls are finished in soft beige Moroccan tadelakt plaster, adding a warm contrast to
the cool tones of the quartzite.
This Park Slope penthouse is a carefully curated blend of modern elegance and thoughtful
functionality, with bespoke details and rich materiality that celebrate both the character of the
space and the needs of its owners.

This kitchen remodel blends warm, rich materials with durable, modern functionality. We elevated the space with custom cherry wood cabinetry, bringing timeless elegance and a sense of craftsmanship to the heart of the home. The countertops and full-height backsplash feature Mystere Gold Quartz from ARC Surfaces—a creamy, ivory-toned quartz with subtle gold veining. This material is not only visually striking but also non-porous, stain-resistant, and low maintenance—ideal for everyday use.
Fixtures include a Kohler Vibrant Stainless kitchen faucet, Kohler undermount single-bowl sink, and flat black cabinet hardware, all sourced through Solutions Bath & Flooring in collaboration with KellyJo. The hardwood flooring throughout was carefully sanded, refinished, and stained using a custom mix from DuraSeal, adding depth and warmth to every step.
For the bathroom, we kept the updates minimal yet impactful: we installed a new vanity top using the same quartz, Moen Doux brushed nickel faucets, and Kohler Caxton undermount sinks—all also sourced through Solutions Bath & Flooring. The continuity in materials ties the spaces together and maintains a clean, cohesive aesthetic.

European Kitchen Center has successfully completed yet another residential remodel. The duplex apartment, located in the heart of Park Slope, needed a complete kitchen remodel and reconfiguration. The two bathrooms were not functional, dated, and long overdue for overhaul. Floors, windows, ceilings, closets, doors, needed tender love and care. European Kitchen Center approached this project with the utmost care and extreme attention to the needs and desires of our clients. The result is a stunning modern kitchen, splendid bathrooms, just an amazing apartment.
The glass kitchen cabinets are bursting with modern functionality, ample storage, and simplistic elegance. The handle-less white kitchen conveys minimal taste of the clients and their cooking habits.
