To contrast with the green we added in red window treatments, a toaster oven, and other small red polka dot accessories. A few final touches we made include a retro fridge, retro oven, retro dishwasher, an apron sink, light quartz countertops, a white subway tile backsplash, and retro tile flooring.

Donald Lococo ArchitectsThe owner said "any color but white" for her farmhouse kitchen country kitchen. Earthy and elemental materials are selected for the home that reference the barn without directly mimicking it. Wooden members found inside the barn and from other barns bridge ceilings and are used in floors along with rustic slate adding to a sense of simplicity to the farmhouse design.
Design Studio WestA built in table accented in a spring green became the focal point of the room. It was finished with a planked cherry wood top to compliment the color of the back door and built in cabinets in the adjacent dining area. However, she had already bar stools in the lime mint green color, it she wanted to implement this color into the color scheme of the new kitchen design. With the ability of Alno to provide NCS colors to their collection of the smooth lacquer door style, we had created a nice balance combination between the lime mint green color and a nice arctic white color. This amazing combination of colors gave immediately a fresh clean feeling to this well designed kitchen layout.

The gardens inspired the soft color palette where mint green cabinets top the oak wood floors. The client used white and black granite for the counters to achieve the look of marble and soapstone without the maintenance. The island seating helps when grandchildren come to visit for snack time.
