Inspiration for a modern home design remodel in Chicago

For the Orpen’s remodel we sanded and refinished all newel posts and handrail to ebony / red mahogany color stain, then installed our powder coated PC4/1 Single Twist, PC6/1 Single Basket and PC6/4 Double Basket balusters in Classic Black. To finish, we repainted the end caps and balcony caps and applied at least two coats of satin polyurethane on all the stained wood.

Staircase - country staircase idea

At the Ferguson home we did a full stair remodel. Much of the existing stairs were removed to make way for new oak treads, our Pescheria pattern of wrought iron balusters in our Midnight Bronze powder coated finish, and refinished newels and handrails. The transformation took a mundane stairway to a whole new level.

Here is a modern style bar fully equipped with a sink, mini fridge and an ice maker. This space includes solid Maple cabinets with granite tops and solid maple free floating shelves. The custom shelves have LED lighting built in to the front edge to provide accent lighting behind the bar. The main bar has a curved wall with a curved top. The bar also features stainless steel uprights and base trim along with a custom curved footrail.

Nestled under 150 year old pecan and oak trees, we carefully and thoughtfully preserved and restored this rare 1928 Federal Style Craftsman near downtown Atlanta, while adding a new 2 story, 1,000 sf addition in the back. The addition, like the house boasts, 10 foot ceilings, yet is sited in a way to seamlessly blend with the original house, without dominating the unique original structure.
