Inspiration for a rustic master medium tone wood floor bedroom remodel in Seattle with beige walls, a standard fireplace and a stone fireplace

This cozy bedroom has the same beamed, vaulted ceiling as the central gathering area, but it is stained to impart a cozier feel. A sofa is placed at the foot of the bed and faces two plaid club chairs, which creates an inviting sitting area there. The fireplace in the bedroom is elevated for viewing from the bed, as well as from the kitchen, so when you look from the kitchen island into the master, you see the fabulous stonework and fire. As an artist, Claude Monet used his eye to design his fabulous home in Giverny, France. Choosing hand made blue and white tiles from a tile manufacturer in Rouen, France - he succeeded in inspiring the design world for the past century. Blue and white glazed porcelain and ceramic tiles were brought to Europe from China via the French East India Company beginning in 1664. France was one of the first countries to unlock the Chinese secrets of fabricating their hard paste porcelain - and Rouen was an established center of this artistic endeavor. Of course Monet would only have the best when it came to his home - and purchasing tiles in Rouen was without question. Perhaps understood as well by Monet, is that blue is the color of the mind - it is soothing to the soul and stimulates clear thought. Historically accurate, hand painted by Emmi Micallef and kiln-fired onto a 5" x 5" hand made tile in one of two whites, The Cuisine de Monet Collection brings not only timeless elegance into the kitchen but a serenity from an overstimulated world.

Inspiration for a coastal living room remodel in Miami

The simplicity of the white pots on a white background in our living room emphasises the beautiful dark green colours of our plants. We buil this vertical garden ourselves with upcycled wood.
