Catherine created an oasis for us in our yard. It was all concrete and now it’s a dreamy place for the kids to play, for us all to relax, and to swim. It ticks all the boxes we were hoping it would and is gorgeous to look at while being easy to maintain. We are so glad we found her!

Bosler Earth Design extended my living space into the outdoors with their complete makeover of my back yard. Catherine was knowledgeable and easy to work with, and I put the project completely in her hands. My garden is now over 2 years old, and ALL my plants are THRIVING and BEAUTIFUL!!!!! When we first contacted Catherine, all we knew was that we had a small, lifeless, and virtually unusable outdoor space. Catherine did an incredible job sharing her vision for what our yard could be, and incorporating the asks we surfaced along the way as that vision started to become a reality. From day one, Catherine (and her partner Daniel, who further enhanced Catherine's designs for hard and soft-scaping with a beautiful lighting concept!) was professional, creative, and communicative, and the transformation of our outdoor space (and now the way we live our lives) has been just awesome. We also appreciated being connected with Catherine and Daniel's trusted contractor, who executed on their vision impeccably and shockingly quickly. There were virtually no hiccups throughout the process, and the small ones we encountered were dealt with quickly and efficiently. We plan to enjoy our new front and back yards for years to come, and are thrilled not just with the stunning work, but with the process and partnership.

Catherine and her partner Daniel transformed our backyard from a decent size patch of grass into an oasis - replete with 4 different sitting areas, native plants, hot tub, fire pit and an excellent lighting installation. Catherine worked with us closely and both she and Daniel were excellent at ensuring my wife and I had input in all decisions while not letting us steer ourselves wrong. Very importantly when we ran into delays, which are to be expected in any job of our size - *especially* during a pandemic, I found the team to be excellent communicators who provided good, realistic updates. Their style made a what could have been a stressful undertaking 10x better. We now use our yard almost daily to eat, just hang out and entertain. I especially like watching the opaque reflection of the fountain lights on the ceiling of our new deck after the sun sets. And of course when we entertain our friends & family are blown away with the results. Thank you Bosler Earth Design for creating a space our family will use and enjoy for years to come.

It was an absolute delight to work with Catherine at Bosler Earth Design. She is the consummate professional and has an incredible eye for design. Our backyard has been transformed into an oasis where we now love to spend time. The plant and tree selection was perfect for the space. We regularly have hummingbirds and butterflies visit. After a year long project at the hands of Bosler Earth Design was completed, I had some friends pop by to celebrate the joys of life in the new space. Perhaps my friend Pete summed it up best. He said, “Matt, your home did not suck before; but, after what Catherine and Daniel have done to this property, yeah, it actually kind of sucked before.” Okay Pete, thanks? I guess? Other dear friends of mine felt like they had been transported to “a resort” “Bali” “Palm Springs” or “Mexico.” Another close friend of mine loved how everything flowed seamlessly while also having different unique areas that allowed individuals to create their own separate memories within the connected tissue of the home. For me... what do I adore about the project... I don’t know. It is very very hard to express my gratitude fully to Catherine and Daniel. This is not a review; rather, this is a thank you letter, no... a love letter, from the bottom of my soul. Thank you for infusing this space with love that will last forever. Thank you for the collaboration. Thank you for your honesty. Thank you for your unwavering attention to detail. Thank you for the hummingbird babies in my new garden. Thank you for the Dragon tree that only blooms every 10 to 15 years but somehow just happened to bloom the moment we finished the project. Thank you for the French Cafe and floating bench at the top of my new deck as they both allow me to look over the hills and softly say to myself, “I did it.” Thank you for putting up with me peaking through my ring camera to see how things were going when I was away and nervous about the project. Thank you for creating that priceless moment when a lovely stranger drove past and yelled from their rolled down car window, “Everything looks awesome!!” Thank you for coming back six times to adjust the same light to ensure my Buddha was perfectly lit. Thank you for coming by my place and putting the right pillows with the right insert cushions because that is such a pain in the ass. Thank you for your succulent walls that belong in a museum, truly, but rather they are watched over by Ganesha as he protects my home, sitting on his pedestal that you built, right next to the custom waterfall that sounds like a spa and brings me peace when my mind gets stressed. Thank you for creating joy, calm, and understanding. Thank you for creating... something that does not suck. Landscaping is not the trees we plant. It is that which grows from the journey. Hardscape is not the walls we build. It is that which becomes stronger from the welding. With Catherine and Daniel, you can create something beyond. You can create... sights, sounds, smells, tastes, all the feels, movement, energy, passion, vulnerability, conversation, reflection... With Catherine and Daniel you can create... magic. Catherine is incredibly talented, knowledgable, and dedicated to her craft. After finding her through online research, I decided to hire her to create and design the garden in my property, a large area on a hill that at the time was covered in weeds and dying trees. Catherine understood my personal aesthetics, what I liked and didn't like, and worked within my timeline and budget. I wanted something that felt vibrant, organic, and diverse, and that matched the design of my mid-century house on the property. Catherine completely surprised me with the beautiful, unique, (and drought-tolerant) plants that she chose. She created a harmonious layout with planters and steps that connected different parts of the garden, with fruit trees, fragrant flowers, and beautiful surprises along the path. There are butterflies and hummingbirds roaming the flowers and it truly feels like a special place. The workers Catherine hired were kind and professional. Catherine was communicative and accommodating. The result was better than I could have ever imagined.

Catherine Bosler did a beautiful job for us! Hardscape and landscape both: our front patio and backyard terrace. She is a skilled and creative designer with a keen eye for color, pattern and dimension, and she selected perfect plant materials for the project. She was responsive to our needs throughout, and it was a pleasure to work with her. Big bonus: she comes with Dan, who is all things lighting and electric, always willing to lend a hand, and a lovely individual as well! I highly recommend Bosler Earth Design for all your landscape needs.

More than a delight to work with, Catherine heard me from the get go, and delivered me a garden exactly as I had hoped for. No matter the problem she got right into the issues to find solutions when suppliers I had bought things from failed she was the first to push back and find solutions, or when more importantly the GC was being dumb or not delivering exactly what was wanted. From the start she had resources available and she acted as the project manager not just landscape architect, and the result is I have the perfect Covid backyard and best of all no pool, which made way for Catherine's excellence. I now find myself looking out all day every day as I am working from home, and I could not be more pleased. As anyone who has work done at their home knows nothing goes easily, but Catherine's tone never changed she stayed available and willing to the end. Could not say enough good things about her, and I would even go so far as to say she sells herself to inexpensively.

We LOVE the front and backyard by Bosler Earth Design. We hired Catherine after interviewing several other designers. We liked her thorough approach, as well as the obvious joy she has for making yards more beautiful and livable. We had some ideas about our space that we relayed to Catherine. She came to us with a completely different design that reset and exceeded our expectations. The backyard includes a custom stone fire pit (looks great!), a dining area, a grill area, a succulent garden, a butterfly garden, a grassy area, and a kids play area. Our backyard is not that big, but the space is now perfectly utilized for much greater functionality. Our front yard has always been a challenge as we have a large, mature tree that allows for almost no sunlight. Catherine designed a terrace with shade friendly plants, coupled with a rock garden for areas where plant growth would be especially difficult. Fantastic! Thanks, Catherine!

We feel so lucky to have found and worked with Catherine on our landscaping! She is amazing!! When we began the project we had a few vague ideas of what we'd like, but most were based on updating and cleaning up our existing yard layout. Catherine was able to visualize and design a whole new plan that addressed all of our needs and used the space we have so much more efficiently. We have 3 small children and 2 small dogs and all of her plans took them into consideration and provided them with things to explore without sacrificing the aesthetic. Her plant selection and attention to detail is impeccable. She was very responsive to our questions, conscientious about our budget, and we felt she really did a great job of taking care of the project throughout the entire process. We are now enjoying a space that is so beautiful and so much more functional, too. It has increased our usable living space and made our home more attractive as well. We highly, highly recommend Bosler Earth Design!
