This custom built desktop shelving unit, was commissioned by a gentleman with several larger pieces of electronic radio and computer equipment. He was looking for a solution in being able to have an attractive, but functional piece of furniture that enabled him to setup and utilize his equipment, while still being able to access the back of the equipment for wire changes and maintenance. The solution we presented was this desktop radio console with three sliding shelves, carefully measured to be a custom fit for the customer's equipment. Each shelf can support over 90 pounds of weight and will slide all the way out of the overall unit for full maintenance access. A solid vertical board is centered on the second level for mounting, a computer monitor and additional storage space is present on the shelves above and to either side. The unit is made entirely out of solid white oak wood and finished glossy. The wood grain was carefully positioned throughout the project to ensure the grain flowed and matched in an attractive way. Traditional joinery methods were used throughout, to come together into a very solid piece of furniture that will last for years.

This solution provides ample storage for your tiny tot’s toys. Parenting experts suggest that one of the keys to helping kids put things away is a routine. Among the things that can help establish a routine are definite places to put playthings. Just think about how confusing it is for you, the adult, to put things away if you don’t know where to put them. Kids are the same way, only they are usually less driven to find the right spot for that giant panda. Effective children’s storage needs to be kid-sized and in a configuration that is specific for your home. CHP can design just the right custom application to meet your needs. Six open shelves, six doors, two top shelves, and a place for a small TV highlight the Kildeer design. The project starts with white melamine as a base for a neat looking and easy-to-clean storage installation. Flat panel fronts help keep things simple, but you are free to choose your own finish and front style. Bar pull handles provide a simple and classic solution. The open shelves will be a kid’s favorite. They may want to find their Legos quickly if they have an immediate urge to build. Elmo may need to be positioned for quick deployment. While other toys, i.e. Kacey the Pink Koala might be better off hidden behind doors. Also, you may want to help your child see the value of stowing those noisy toys where they are not the first thing deployed in the early morning. A mounted TV, in its place, brings in the kid’s favorite programming into an easy to monitor space. The new design reformulated the first floor plan making it much more functional and visually exciting. It encompassed the reorganization of multiple spaces including the Mudroom, Kitchen, Dining Room, Family Room, Sun Room, Laundry, Bathroom, and Master Closet. The design also added, deleted, and relocated windows and French doors to greatly enhance exterior views, draw in more natural light, and seamlessly upgrade the articulation of exterior elevations. Improvements to the plumbing and mechanical systems were also made. The overall feeling is both sophisticated and yet very much down to earth. John R. Our client tasked us with creating a versatile workspace for their family, including a daughter in college. Space was at a premium in their downtown loft, so we needed to create an efficient space that could be changed in the future to fulfill other needs. Our solution was a custom metal desk on casters, topped with concrete quartz. The office has little natural light, so white lacquered cabinets and metallic wallpaper were used to add life to the space.
