In this new build project, our objective was to create light and airy spaces and rooms that evoke warmth and coziness, including a main level floor plan that elicits open concept and separate spaces through architectural details. We love that our client felt inspired by minimal, clean and modern design elements that incorporate interest through movement in natural materials yet also adored traditional elements and beachside inspiration. By juxtaposing strong raw wood elements against soft linen curves and contrasting soft neutral colors against moody tones, we strove to create balance within the design. The space provides the perfect amount of richness and depth to ensure coastal vibes are respected not overwhelming. Bringing the outdoors in, through greenery and living plants, we created a soothing and natural ease about this family home.

The design of this 4,000 square foot house takes queues from the Arts and Crafts movement. The house includes a number of unique spaces for the owner’s family such as music rooms, children’s homework area, guest suite and office quarters. Generous inclusion of covered porch and open patio space nestled in the beach surroundings provide a unique private environment for the outdoor spaces of the property.

These Brown Fantasy Leathered quartzite countertops are the star of this kitchen. With sweeping hues of brown, tan, gray, and white, the movement in this natural stone carries your eye throughout the space. The homeowners' installed a complimentary glass tile backsplash which looks fabulous against their white cabinetry. A framed insert of glass and stone mosaic tile above the stove makes a great focal point. They also have a Shaw farmhouse sink which looks out to a gorgeous view of their backyard.

Here is an architecturally built house from the early 1970's which was brought into the new century during this complete home remodel by adding a garage space, new windows triple pane tilt and turn windows, cedar double front doors, clear cedar siding with clear cedar natural siding accents, clear cedar garage doors, galvanized over sized gutters with chain style downspouts, standing seam metal roof, re-purposed arbor/pergola, professionally landscaped yard, and stained concrete driveway, walkways, and steps.

Conceived more similar to a loft type space rather than a traditional single family home, the homeowner was seeking to challenge a normal arrangement of rooms in favor of spaces that are dynamic in all 3 dimensions, interact with the yard, and capture the movement of light and air.
As an artist that explores the beauty of natural objects and scenes, she tasked us with creating a building that was not precious - one that explores the essence of its raw building materials and is not afraid of expressing them as finished.
We designed opportunities for kinetic fixtures, many built by the homeowner, to allow flexibility and movement.
The result is a building that compliments the casual artistic lifestyle of the occupant as part home, part work space, part gallery. The spaces are interactive, contemplative, and fun.
More details to come.

Mid-sized transitional gray floor kitchen photo in Dallas with raised-panel cabinets, white cabinets, granite countertops and an island

Example of a small trendy master gray tile and ceramic tile ceramic tile and gray floor bathroom design in Dallas with shaker cabinets, gray cabinets, a two-piece toilet, white walls, a vessel sink, quartz countertops and white countertops

For this kitchen we needed to freshen the look on a budget. We decided to spend the money on elements that we knew would bright the place up and give the home what buyers today are looking for. We repainted the cabinets in the kitchen and the family room and created a focal point by leaving the ornate wood vent hood and islands that also tie in the beamed ceiling in the family room. New glass subway tile replaced the older tumbled marble backsplash and lighter granite went in place of the previous darker granite. Fresh 50/50 paint mix went on walls to add a little more of a grey tone to a dominate cream colored home.
