This view toward the stainless hood and Wolf range top showcase the contrasting colors and finishes. The lighter distressed and painted island is reminiscent of an antique server. A warming drawer is cleverly concealed behind a matching drawer front. There is seating for 4 around the island with book shelves contained behind closed doors. A custom copper farm sink near the range top allows a view to the mud the front of the house. Since the main sink had to be located on an inside wall, open shelves with vintage french enamelware create an open feeling in lieu of a window. On a hillside property in Santa Monica hidden behind trees stands our brand new constructed from the grounds up guest unit. This unit is only 300sq. but the layout makes it feel as large as a small apartment. Vaulted 12' ceilings and lots of natural light makes the space feel light and airy. A small kitchenette gives you all you would need for cooking something for yourself, notice the baby blue color of the appliances contrasting against the clean white cabinets and counter top. The wood flooring give warmth to the neutral white colored walls and ceilings. A nice sized bathroom bosting a 3'x3' shower with a corner double door entrance with all the high quality finishes you would expect in a master bathroom. The exterior of the unit was perfectly matched to the existing main house. These ADU (accessory dwelling unit) also called guest units and the famous term "Mother in law unit" are becoming more and more popular in California and in LA in particular.

In this century home we opened up the space and moved the toilet area to create a larger tiled shower. The vanity installed is Waypoint LivingSpaces 650F Cherry Java with a toilet topper cabinet. The countertop, shower curb and shower seat is Eternia Quartz in Edmonton color. A Kohler Fairfax collection in oil rubbed bronze includes the faucet, towel bar, towel holder, toilet paper holder, and grab bars. The toilet is Kohler Cimmarron comfort height in white. In the shower, the floor and partial shower tile is 12x12 Slaty, multi-color. On the floor is Slaty 2x2 mosaic multi-color tile. And on the partial walls is 3x12 vintage subway tile.

Bathroom - small craftsman green tile and ceramic tile porcelain tile bathroom idea in New York with a console sink, a two-piece toilet and green walls

Beside the bed is the way to the washroom. We wanted it bright to make it look larger than its size. The fittings are black but the walls are a powder blue, the cabinets are a genteel shade of lemon and the tiles are a play of our monochromatic colours. Despite the paucity of space, we created a loft, an essential element.

In this kitchen the original cabinets were refaced with two different color pallets. On the base cabinets, Medallion Stockton with a flat center panel Harbor Mist and on the wall cabinets the color Divinity. New rollout trays were installed. A new cabinet was installed above the refrigerator with an additional side door entrance. Kichler track lighting was installed and a single pendent light above the sink, both in brushed nickel. On the floor, Echo Bay 5mm thick vinyl flooring in Ashland slate was installed.
