The rich Cottage Red color of the home is complimented by eight very subtle complimentary tones that blend with the custom designed brick walkway, original brick columns and New Orleans-style iron fencing. Nestled behind two magnificent oak trees and amongst an always-blooming tropical garden providing a lush, cozy, private ambience.

The Homeowner’s of this St. Marlo home were ready to do away with the large unused Jacuzzi tub and builder grade finishes in their Master Bath and Bedroom. The request was for a design that felt modern and crisp but held the elegance of their Country French preferences. Custom vanities with drop in sinks that mimic the roll top tub and crystal knobs flank a furniture style armoire painted in a lightly distressed gray achieving a sense of casual elegance. Wallpaper and crystal sconces compliment the simplicity of the chandelier and free standing tub surrounded by traditional Rue Pierre white marble tile. As contradiction the floor is 12 x 24 polished porcelain adding a clean and modernized touch. Multiple shower heads, bench and mosaic tiled niches with glass shelves complete the luxurious showering experience.

This planting bed is host to many perennials and groundcover plants. This planting scheme also includes some small shrubs separated by a stone wall that creates a garden with multiple tiers.

Plants are all installed and the Flag markers are for the planting of about 1,000 Spring bulbs done in late fall. The multiple types of bulbs will have successional blooming starting in late winter stating with crocus and ending with the late spring Alliums filling the time until the perennials start to bloom in May/June.

Scott Buley. High Tech Turf & Trees/Rain Garden Nursery. MicroScapeR(sm) project with multiple interesting LOW MAINTENANCE elements: Our NaturPavR(sm) pervious Xeripavers look like aggregate but drain water through them. Stone rock-garden shrub bed borders, and a small specimen Westwood flowering pear tree ready to bloom. We love coupling ideal trees with site specific needs. This project was a constantly flooded lawn until we removed it all and rebuilt the area with 6" of washed & sized gravel and installed engineered pavers to transform the site.
