For this project, our clients wanted a home that reflected their elevated style and supported their growing family. With young daughters, a new baby on the way, and a nanny suite that needed both accessibility and privacy, this design was all about balancing sophistication with family-friendly functionality.
We reimagined multiple spaces, ensuring every room spoke to each other while maintaining its personality. Their daughters’ bedrooms feel more vibrant and personal, with thoughtful details like new lighting, fresh paint, and furniture that will transition with them as they grow. The nursery became a dreamy retreat featuring cloud-like textures and soft, celestial touches—an enchanting space designed for their newest addition.
The attic, once an afterthought, is now an extension of the home that feels as if it was always meant to be there. The office was designed with depth and refinement, incorporating a built-in library cabinet with a striking black slab background and moody furnishings that add a sense of sophistication.
This project was about creating a home that effortlessly evolves with their growing family—where elegance and practicality go hand in hand, and every space feels elevated and deeply livable.

This modern white oak staircase features a distinctive design element: slanted risers that add unique geometric touch to the structure. The precise angle of each riser creates visual interest and architectural detail that sets this staircase apart.
White oak stringers provide structural support while adding natural warmth. A glass railing system maintains the clean, minimalist aesthetic and offers unobstructed views of the oak stringers' craftsmanship. The result is a striking design feature that connects multiple levels of an open-plan living area while making an architectural statement.

This outdoor living transformation brought together multiple phases of construction to create a seamless, year-round entertaining space. The project began with dry rot repairs and termite remediation, followed by framing a custom outdoor fireplace, completing the chimney, and preparing it for a beautiful stone finish. A custom soffit with skylights and detailed trim was installed to create a warm, finished ceiling that complements the home's architecture.
The existing deck was removed and replaced with a newly framed deck featuring custom stairs, durable decking, and modern railing. New siding and trim were completed around the home and breezeway, tying the addition into the existing exterior for a cohesive look.
The outdoor living area was further enhanced with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, including cabinetry, shelving, appliances, a kegerator, and a wine temperature control system. Electrical work included recessed lighting, heaters, fireplace power, dimmers, and a dedicated subpanel to support the space's amenities. A new fence and gate were also constructed and painted to match the homeowner's preferences, providing both privacy and a polished finish.
Throughout the project, our team coordinated closely with specialty contractors, including the stone mason and paver installer, ensuring each phase was completed in the proper sequence. The result is a thoughtfully designed outdoor living space that blends craftsmanship, functionality, and lasting quality—creating the perfect setting for entertaining family and friends throughout every season.

This Ravensdale, WA project showcases a thoughtfully designed outdoor living space that blends functionality, comfort, and craftsmanship. The new patio cover was custom-built to integrate seamlessly with the existing home, featuring a solid structural design, clean lines, and carefully matched roofing for a cohesive finish.
Attention to detail played a key role throughout the build. From precise beam placement and soffit installation to coordinating gutter tie-ins with the existing drainage system, every element was planned to ensure both performance and aesthetics. The structure was adjusted on-site to accommodate existing features like the fireplace vent, maintaining proper clearances while preserving the overall design intent.
The outdoor kitchen was framed with durable steel studs, providing a long-lasting foundation for future finishes and appliances. The layout allows for flexibility, with provisions for upgraded countertops, lighting, and appliance selections as the homeowner finalizes design choices.
Adjacent to the kitchen, the custom outdoor fireplace creates a natural focal point, complete with a Douglas fir mantle that adds warmth and character, embracing the organic qualities of the material.
Electrical upgrades enhance usability and ambiance, including integrated LED lighting, heater provisions for year-round comfort, and strategically placed outlets to support both the kitchen and entertainment needs. The system was designed with efficiency in mind, utilizing existing pathways and infrastructure wherever possible.
Throughout the project, the team prioritized clear communication and adaptability—whether working around existing site conditions, coordinating multiple trades, or making real-time adjustments to deliver the best outcome.
The result is a versatile and inviting outdoor space designed for everyday living and entertaining, built to stand the test of time.

The home was designed to display the original owners rare art collection from around the world. It has a rare and captivating arts and craft style and a very open floor plan for its time. As such, it is superb for entertaining. In fact, the current owners have held many large benefits and functions here. All of the woodwork in the main part of the home is selected cypress, except the gourmet kitchen which is cherry. The main living areas that make up the center of the home (i.e., dining room, great room, game room or library) are separated by 5'6" high half partition walls capped with an 8" shelf around the side walls. All the partitions and side walls are wainscoted with 6.5" wood panels. The ceilings in these main rooms are wood-paneled with solid beams supported by column-formed posts.
The Great Room is enormous and the focal point of the home. The space is grand and can accommodate multiple seating areas, plus a grand or baby grand piano, or even a billiards table. A portion of the ceiling is open and extends to the 2nd floor to a very unique coffered tent-style ceiling with stained glass window at its center. Another main feature in this room is the stone wood-burning fireplace flanked by two bench seats attached to a column. It is a wonderful place to sit and read or converse to the crackle of the fire. An intimate reading nook with built-in shelves on either side sits to the left of the fireplace. Left of that, a set of French doors leads to the front porch for seamless entertaining inside and out. At the opposite end of the great room is a large bayed seating area.

Prairie school architects are heralded today for their genius use of wood and detailing to frame and define organic style. The Design-Craft Sonoma Reversed Raised Panel kitchen pays homage to those architects with its unusual soffit treatment and use of wood panels. Not one to take itself too seriously, Sonoma finds whimsy in the shaped support legs of the smart L-shaped island. Multiple work surface heights on the island make room for more than one cook in this traditional kitchen.
Discover more functionality with matching wood tops or shelves to keep frequently used items easily within reach. A modern flat panel television over the simple hearth of a kitchen fireplace is a smart way to bring warmth and today’s living style to a classic bungalow or prairie style home.

The remodel of this 18 x 14 sunroom/dining room included ceiling to floor drapes with sheers all around three large walls of windows, over bamboo shades. Multiple tablescapes of custom runners, cloths and napkins were enjoyed on the large antique dining table for big gatherings. The fabric softened the hard lines of the tile floor and support beams.

This thoughtfully designed accessible shower remodel in Union City, CA proves that safety features and beautiful design don't have to be mutually exclusive. Every element was carefully selected to meet the needs of a mobility-conscious user while delivering a warm, elegant, spa-like result.
The spacious walk-in shower is clad floor-to-ceiling in large-format travertine-look porcelain tiles in a warm cream and beige tone with natural veining, creating a welcoming and timeless backdrop. The footprint was designed around a few key elements; a wine display storage, the dining room, family room, walk in pantry and the exterior deck.
With multiple entry and exit points, majority of the kitchens function was centered in the room with two large scaled islands. Both islands are identical in scale and finish, equipped with Bianco quartzite countertops and hand scraped Pine washed cabinet fronts. An integrated custom steel frame provides support for the countertop. While one island serves as a working station for food prep, the other island services as an eat-in counter area.
