The Sub Zero refrigerator is just visible over the Franke sink with Dorn Bracht faucet providing a nice contemporary touch. The veining in the Zebrino Marble countertop is very visible in this shot, giving the eye great horizontal touches to the 12' island. The high ceilings are also clear here, and during the remodel were a must have for the client to open up the space. The blue door leads to a walk in pantry that was also done by the designer (sorry, no pictures). This left the client with more than enough kitchen storage, and allowed Elisabeth the flexibility to use storage as functional or decorative, hence the open shelving.

The Conrad house, also named "Tres Jolie" (beautiful trees) is nestled within 32 majestic live oaks on 10 acres of historical land near the town of Berwick, LA. Once a camp site for both Union and Confederate troops, this home site lavishes in historical memories. Built in 2002, Tres Jolie was designed to resemble a plantation home of the 19th century. Therefore it was only fitting that I chose the West Indies style for this home. Historically, for it's presence in that era. Climate wise, for passive solar design. Presence wise, the roof shape resemble the trees in which embrace it.

Although not on the coast, the use of bold blue accents gives a nod to The Hamptons and the Palm Beach area this home resides. The name says it all. This lot was so close to Camelback mountain in Paradise Valley, AZ, that the views would, in essence, be from the front yard. So to capture the views from the interior of the home, we did a "twist" and designed a home where entry was from the back of the lot. The owners had a great interest in European architecture which dictated the old-world style. While the style of the home may speak of centuries past, this home reflects modern Arizona living with spectacular outdoor living spaces and breathtaking views from the pool. Architect: C.P.
