First, the room was painted a beautiful light gray with at touch of blue. Benjamin Moore's, Wickham Gray, gave the room a calm serene aura. I placed two large distressed wood mirrors on each side of the fireplace. The mirrors gave the room the illusion of high ceilings and the reflection made the space look larger. The painting over the fireplace was painted by my client's grandmother and with a new frame the painting adds nautical charm. The natural capiz shell chandelier gave room an illuminating glow. The room configuration has now changed. A large cabinet, with a stylish dash of Moroccan style, anchors the room and a mid-sized sofa backs up to the cabinet.

This expansive kitchen space features a cooking area with island, a breakfast nook, a sitting area, and a cocktail bar zone, creating an integrated work/play/dine gathering space for a large family. The homeowner wanted to keep the space fairly neutral and efficient as well as reflect the lakeside location, without being overly nautical. A Muriel Cloud chandelier from Oly Studio hangs above the breakfast table, defining and anchoring that space. The balls are handmade resin globes.

Fresh + Filled with Greenery. This space was all about having fun with a hint of Havana. Warm rattan pieces were brought in with rich greenery to infuse it with that vibrant lifestyle. To anchor the room, we sourced oversized planters from Bali. They are hand carved from trunks of palm trees, and lightly whitewashed leaving the integrity of the wood on display. We brought in vintage wooden oars, and kept them in their authentic state. Beautifully timeworn and distinctive.
