Inspiration for a coastal mudroom remodel in San Francisco with white walls

This bedroom was designed for a young girl with special needs and features items in the room to help her with her therapy and adapts to her everyday needs such as the padded flooring, trampoline and keyboard. This room was originally found in the Grand Junction house plan designed by Walker Home Design.

This two toned shaker style kitchen has just the right amount of design touches paired with it's simple look. Our bold customer chose to do their upper cabinets in a Coconut white, and her base cabinets in a beachy blue color called Juniper Berry by Kemper Cabinets. Besides the very ornate layout of the kitchen, I love the mix of styles. From the country farmhouse sink, to the colorful sitting area, it creates such a beautiful, tranquil space. For a more casual and whimsical vibe in the family kitchen, I opted for mini greens with burlap and designed a custom advent calendar that continued to carry the colour theme throughout the home.

Designed with an open floor plan and layered outdoor spaces, the Onaway is a perfect cottage for narrow lakefront lots. The exterior features elements from both the Shingle and Craftsman architectural movements, creating a warm cottage feel. An open main level skillfully disguises this narrow home by using furniture arrangements and low built-ins to define each spaces’ perimeter. Every room has a view to each other as well as a view of the lake. The cottage feel of this home’s exterior is carried inside with a neutral, crisp white, and blue nautical themed palette. The kitchen features natural wood cabinetry and a long island capped by a pub height table with chairs. Above the garage, and separate from the main house, is a series of spaces for plenty of guests to spend the night. The symmetrical bunk room features custom staircases to the top bunks with drawers built in. The best views of the lakefront are found on the master bedrooms private deck, to the rear of the main house. The open floor plan continues downstairs with two large gathering spaces opening up to an outdoor covered patio complete with custom grill pit.

A farmhouse coastal styled home located in the charming neighborhood of Pflugerville. We merged our client's love of the beach with rustic elements which represent their Texas lifestyle. The result is a laid-back interior adorned with distressed woods, light sea blues, and beach-themed decor. We kept the furnishings tailored and contemporary with some heavier case goods- showcasing a touch of traditional. Our design even includes a separate hangout space for the teenagers and a cozy media for everyone to enjoy! The overall design is chic yet welcoming, perfect for this energetic young family. To gain more space for the bathroom, we relocated the existing laundry room to upstairs. Custom drawers that hug the plumbing under the vanity provide additional storage and improve functionality. Warm brass fixtures and accessories reflect light—and the nautical theme. The linear tile detail draws the eye up and nautical details include a mirror with rope detailing and ship light sconces.

This project was featured in Midwest Home magazine as the winner of ASID Life in Color. The addition of a kitchen with custom shaker-style cabinetry and a large shiplap island is perfect for entertaining and hosting events for family and friends. Quartz counters that mimic the look of marble were chosen for their durability and ease of maintenance. Open shelving with brass sconces above the sink create a focal point for the large open space. Putting a modern spin on the traditional nautical/coastal theme was a goal. We took the quintessential palette of navy and white and added pops of green, stylish patterns, and unexpected artwork to create a fresh bright space. Grasscloth on the back of the built in bookshelves and console table along with rattan and the bentwood side table add warm texture. Finishes and furnishings were selected with a practicality to fit their lifestyle and the connection to the outdoors. A large sectional along with the custom cocktail table in the living room area provide ample room for game night or a quiet evening watching movies with the kids.
