A great way to brighten up a bedroom is with painted nightstands. In this case, we wanted to maintain a calming environment with neutral wall colors and bedding. To add a bit of cheer to the space, we upholstered two lounge chairs and painted both nightstands similar shaded of aqua. Martha O'Hara Interiors, Interior Design | L. This primary bedroom exudes calm and sophistication with floor-to-ceiling drapery featuring both blackout and sheer layers, allowing for flexible light control. The wrap-around headboard with a wood back and upholstered front creates a cozy focal point, complemented by wood and white nightstands and a wooden bench with butterfly joint details. Pendant lights provide soft ambient lighting, while a shaggy white area rug over wood floors adds warmth and texture. Flush trim and recessed baseboards enhance the clean, modern lines, and a blue throw blanket adds a subtle pop of color, completing the layered, serene design. Photo by Thomas Kuoh.

The master bedroom. Renovations include: new paint, new fireplace stone mosaic tile and hearth, wood ceiling beams, handscraped hardwood floors, new lighting (Drexel Heritage chandelier), new trim, and several floor plan changes (doors moved, etc.). The headboard and tv console were custom pieces for the space. The TV has a 24" articulating arm recessed into the wall for a flush mount. The bedside dressers were custom-painted for the space. The picture ledges are from Ikea and feature European cathedral photography by Renee Streett. Rug is a faux sheepskin from Home Decorators' Collection.
