Located in the Avenues of the heart of Salt Lake City, this craftsman style home leaves us astounded. Upon demolition of the existing home, this custom home was built to showcase what exactly Lane Myers Construction could deliver on when we are given numerous constraints. With a floor plan designed to open up what would have been considered a confined space, attention to tiny details and the custom finishes were just the cusp of what we took the time to create

The New American Remodel 2019 is a 1950s single-level house transformed into a two-level modern house with nearly 6,000 square feet by Michael Gardner, principal of studio g Architecture and Luxus Design Build in Las Vegas.
To utilize energy-efficiency and organic materials, the designers chose a mix of contemporary ceiling fans, Infratech Comfort heaters and a gas heat pump system for air conditioning, along with an array of solar panels, which means the house produces more electricity than it uses.
The floor plan of the house includes numerous intimate and large outdoor spaces for relaxing, including a patio off the office at the front of the house, an outdoor living room that extends between the great room and the swimming pool, and a two-level covered entertaining space between the pool and the orchard. The second floor has a seating area in front of a fireplace with flush mount Infratech heaters overhead, a pizza oven, a dining area, a bar and an outdoor kitchen.

The owners of this historic house on a promontory surrounded by water asked Morpurgo Architects to maximize ocean views while expanding their home for their growing family.
Conforming to The Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission’s requirements, our modifications to the existing structure are sympathetic to the original Stuccoed Mission-style and contextually in keeping with neighboring historic homes.
This challenging site presented numerous constraints, including adherence to oceanfront setbacks and environmental and zoning regulations. We overcame imposing restrictions to develop a dynamic plan that fulfilled the clients’ programmatic and aesthetic needs.
The kitchen was identified by our clients as the focal point of family activity. We maximized this lifestyle concept by developing the kitchen into a spacious living area with commanding views of the water. Renovations to the third floor allowed Morpurgo Architects to create an outdoor space offering a panorama of the historic surrounding communities.

A stunning and stylish floor plan with numerous features throughout for everything you could desire in a home. A charming front porch leads you into this home where you immediately are greeted by the expansive great room with optional see-through fireplace into hearth area. The study with optional coffered ceiling could serve as 4th bedroom. The open kitchen, dining area, and hearth area allows for plenty of natural light. A secluded first-floor owner's suite with optional tray ceiling includes a private bath with double bowl vanity and expansive closet. The 2nd floor boasts 2 other bedrooms, a full bath, and a large loft. An optional outdoor living area, accessible from the dining area, is available as well. 2101 Connecticut Avenue (c.1928), an 8-story brick and limestone Beaux Arts style building with spacious apartments, is said to have been “the finest apartment house to appear in Washington between the two World Wars.” (James M. Goode, Best Addresses, 1988.) As advertised for rent in 1928, the apartments were designed “to incorporate many details that would aid the residents in establishing a home atmosphere, one possessing charm and dignity usually found only in a private house… the character and tenancy (being) assured through careful selection of guests.” Home to Senators, Ambassadors, a Vice President and a Supreme Court Justice as well as numerous Washington socialites, the building still stands as one of the undisputed “best addresses” in Washington, DC.)
So well laid-out was this gracious 3,000 sf apartment that the basic floor plan remains unchanged from the original architect’s 1927 design. The organizing feature was, and continues to be, the grand “gallery” space in the center of the unit. Every room in the apartment can be accessed via the gallery, thus preserving it as the centerpiece of the “charm and dignity” which the original design intended. Programmatic modifications consisted of the addition of a small powder room off of the foyer, and the conversion of a corner “sun room” into a room for meditation and study. The apartment received a thorough updating of all systems, services and finishes, including a new kitchen and new bathrooms, several new built-in cabinetry units, and the consolidation of numerous small closets and passageways into more accessible and efficient storage spaces.

H2D Architecture + Design developed a comprehensive vision for the renovation of this Bellevue residence, creating a cohesive master plan that can be implemented in phased construction to align with the homeowners' priorities, budget, and timeline. The first phase reimagined the primary suite, including a redesigned bathroom, reconfigured closet and bedroom. Strategic space planning enhanced the functionality and flow of each space while creating a serene, spa-inspired retreat tailored to the homeowners' lifestyle. Future phases will transform the home's main living areas through a complete reconfiguration of the kitchen, dining room, entry, and living room. The design will improve circulation, increase functionality, and create light-filled, beautifully connected spaces.

A steeply sloping site posed considerable challenges for Morpurgo Architects’ expansion and renovation of this front to back split-level house. To provide a gradual transition for the family from their home, situated on a high plateau, to the brook and pool below, we designed numerous patios and decks at multiple levels.
The house features large, divided-light arched windows. Throughout the first floor, we created lit vaulted ceilings that give the living areas a spacious, open quality. A wide central hallway forms the spine of the house, opening onto a dining room, with columns that support a curved yoke-shaped header that is repeated in the entrance gate on the grounds.
Renovations were scheduled in four precisely planned construction phases that allowed the family to continue living in the house during the building process.
This elegant, yet informal home, in its serene setting, is the product of Morpurgo Architects’ seamless union of the house and the site.

The property is situated just outside of Estoril offering a splendid view of Sintra. The house originally followed a traditional Portuguese layout, characterized by numerous small rooms and limited natural light. The client's objective was to modernize the house and adapt it to 21st-century living standards. This was a renovation and interior design project. The process involved expanding the existing rear openings to take full advantage of the beautiful view while preserving the front-street façade. An open-plan design was created, connecting the kitchen, dining room, living room, and drawing room. Two new areas were added on the ground floor: a pantry and a disabled bathroom, for a guest bedroom. The renovation extended to every part of the house, including the bedrooms, bathrooms, family rooms, and study room. An under-floor heating system and heat pump were installed for improved climate control
