With a neutral color palette in mind, Interior Designer, Rebecca Robeson brought in warmth and vibrancy to this Solana Beach Family Room rich blue and dark wood-toned accents. The custom made navy blue sofa takes center stage, flanked by a pair of dark wood stained cabinets fashioned with white accessories. Two white occasional chairs to the right and one stylish bentwood chair to the left, the four ottoman coffee table adds all the comfort the clients were hoping for. Finishing touches... A commissioned oil painting, white accessory pieces, decorative throw pillows and a hand knotted area rug specially made for this home. Of course, Rebecca signature window treatments complete the space. Light hardwood floors flow from room to room on the first level. Oil-rubbed bronze light fixtures add a sense of eclectic elegance to the farmhouse setting. Horizontal stair railings give a modern touch to the farmhouse nostalgia. Stained wooden beams contrast beautifully with the crisp white tongue and groove ceiling. A barn door conceals a private, well-lit office or homework nook with bespoke shelving.

This beautiful home for a family of four got a refreshing new design, making it a true reflection of the homeowners' personalities. The living room was designed to look bright and spacious with a stunning custom white oak coffee table, stylish swivel chairs, and a comfortable pale peach sofa. An antique bejeweled snake light creates an attractive focal point encouraging fun conversations in the living room. In the kitchen, we upgraded the countertops and added a beautiful backsplash, and the dining area was painted a soothing sage green adding color and character to the space. One of the kids' bedrooms got a unique platform bed with a study and storage area below it. The second bedroom was designed with a custom day bed with stylish tassels and a beautiful bulletin board wall with a custom neon light for the young occupant to decorate at will. The guest room, with its earthy tones and textures, has a lovely "California casual" appeal, while the primary bedroom was designed like a haven for relaxation with black-out curtains, a statement chain link chandelier, and a beautiful custom bed. In the primary bath, we added a huge mirror, custom white oak cabinetry, and brass fixtures, creating a luxurious retreat! ---Project designed by Sara Barney’s Austin interior design studio BANDD DESIGN. Farmhouse kitchen/dining room combo photo in Dallas

The client wanted to reinvent this living room so that it would be used as a reading, gathering room. The goal for this living room was to create a calming respite by way of a transitional design aesthetic and a sophisticated appeal. I used the existing photographic art as a taking off point for the selection of some timeless updated pieces. The washed dhurrie rug, black accent tables and rattan sideboard created the sophistication that was desired. Custom throw pillows give a layer of pattern and color to finish the look.
