Transforming this primary bathroom required a well-thought-out design plan to maximize the limited space. The enlarged shower and expanded vanity area offer enhanced functionality, while a crisp black-and-white palette brings serene, modern elegance. From thoughtful design guidance to meticulous planning, expert craftsmanship, and seamless project management, this project was a full team effort that resulted in a beautifully executed space.

Our client in Inverallochy near Fraserburgh approached us with a vision for their project. The goal was to not just update their kitchen but also reconfigure the space by taking down partitions for a more fluid layout. For the Inverallochy kitchen, we selected the Nolte Metal range. The main door's Grey Steel colour was paired with an accent in Kansas Oak, offering a harmonious blend of modern and traditional tones. The Silver MatrixArt handleless trims, coupled with integrated lighting, further elevated the design's sleek aesthetic. Our choice of worktops included 20mm Silestone Eternal Serena Suede for the island and Nolte 25mm Kansas Oak for the perimeter. In terms of appliances, we integrated a comprehensive suite of Siemens products: from the single oven and combination microwave to the warming drawer, induction hob, and a unique ceiling extraction unit. The addition of a full-height fridge and a 600mm wine cooler ensured every culinary need was met. Attention to detail was key. We incorporated a Blanco Zia 1 ½ sink in Alumetallic and a Quooker Fusion Square Stainless Steel instant boiling water tap for added functionality. A noteworthy design feature was the extractor built into a ceiling drop box, accentuated by a stepped ledge with dedicated lighting. When it came time for these clients to build their dream home, they chose our team to help bring it to life. They were interested in our guidance and ability to walk them through the process. They had many must haves for this home. Nine-foot ceilings in the foyer and great room were a must as was the exposed log roof system in the great room. Open concept on the main level was important for family time as was a dining table large enough to seat twelve. The first floor also includes a large kitchen, walk-in pantry, office large enough to become a master bedroom in the future, laundry room, and mudroom with plenty of storage and half bath nearby. Three season sunroom connecting to large patio allows even more space to enjoy family time. The second floor offers a master suite and two additional bedrooms, a sitting room, and a built-in nook for a grand piano. After my clients bought a sweet 1920s classic California Spanish bungalow in the Rose Garden area of San Jose, they came to me for some design guidance. We toured the empty house and I asked them what their style direction was and what they were thinking of doing. The heavily ornate, dark wood moulding and trim is original to the house and I naturally assumed that they would want to keep them. But I was thrilled when they identified themselves as modernists, liking clean lines and a lighter color palette. So we chose a strong white for all the dark trim and a warm neutral for the walls. With that canvas, we began layering on contemporary furnishings but with a sense of luxury that still feels traditional enough to sit in such an historic house. Custom drapes in a plum-colored Kasmir fabric set the tone for the color palette in the living room. Sumptuous ripplefold panels hang from a ceiling mounted Architrac allowing the full height of the arched window to be enjoyed from inside. The fireplace received a coat of a slate blue color from Kelly Moore. A comfortable sofa with mid-century lines plays nicely with a custom ottoman and a custom rug from Dalyn.
