A 5x10 bathroom is one of the most common bathroom sizes, offering enough space for a full bath setup while maintaining efficiency. Whether you’re planning a simple refresh or a complete renovation, understanding the cost breakdown is essential to staying within budget.
Average Cost of a 5x10 Bathroom Remodel
The cost of remodeling a 5x10 bathroom can range between $6,000 and $25,000, depending on the level of renovation, materials, and labor costs in your area. Here’s a quick breakdown of what you can expect:
• Basic Remodel ($6,000 - $10,000) – Cosmetic updates such as painting, new fixtures, and budget-friendly materials.
• Mid-Range Remodel ($10,000 - $18,000) – Upgrading vanities, flooring, and fixtures with higher-quality materials.
• Luxury Remodel ($18,000 - $25,000+) – Premium materials, custom cabinetry, high-end tile work, and luxury fixtures.
Cost Breakdown by Component
Remodel Component Estimated Cost Range

Factors That Affect the Cost
1. Material Choices – Higher-end materials like marble or custom cabinetry will drive costs up.
2. Labor Costs – Hiring professional contractors, plumbers, and electricians can significantly impact the budget.
3. Plumbing Relocation – Moving pipes or installing a new shower layout can add $2,000 - $5,000 to the total cost.
4. Tile Work Complexity – Intricate tile patterns and premium materials will increase labor and material expenses.
5. Customization – Custom bathroom vanities, glass enclosures, and luxury fixtures will elevate the budget.
How to Save Money on Your 5x10 Bathroom Remodel
• Choose Cost-Effective Materials – Consider porcelain tiles instead of marble and pre-made bathroom vanities instead of custom builds.
• Refinish Instead of Replace – Refinishing a bathtub or vanity can save thousands compared to buying new ones.
• DIY Where Possible – Simple tasks like painting or installing new fixtures yourself can cut labor costs.
• Get Multiple Quotes – Comparing contractor estimates helps ensure you get the best price.

Michelle's master bathroom was ready to be updated from the original builder grade materials. The vision was clear: modernize the space while retaining certain elements, blending the old with the new, creating a space that felt updated, timeless, and functional.
The existing shower was completely reimagined to a custom size. Michelle chose Tru Marmi Venatino large format tiles for her shower walls and main floor, then finished the style with a matching 4” hexagon tile for her shower floor for an elegant matching look.
She opted to boost the storage of her shower by adding two oversized recessed niches along with a recessed shaving niche and then accented these areas with the Gable Victoria Marble Mosaic Tile.
A large freestanding bathtub became the centerpiece and was accented with a Delta floor mount tub filler, including the hand shower for added convenience.
The vanity area was upgraded with two new Mencino satin nickel and clear glass lights, providing ample illumination.
Additionally, new Fresca Luminosa Lighted medicine cabinets were installed as her main mirrors, offering modern storage solutions with flattering integrated side lighting.
The bathroom, closet, and water closet flooring received a significant upgrade with Tru Marmi Venatino 12x24 matte tiles, laid in a ⅓ offset pattern and grouted with 335 Winter Gray for a cohesive look.
The remodel went beyond Michelle's expectations, transforming her master bathroom into a seamless blend of modern elegance and functionality.

If you're looking for the best curtain showrooms in Kokapet, you're in the right place. Kokapet, a rapidly growing area in Hyderabad, is home to some of the finest curtain showrooms offering an extensive range of styles, fabrics, and designs to suit every home décor need. Whether you're furnishing a new home or simply updating your window treatments, Kokapet offers diverse options for quality curtains that enhance your living space.

One of the focal points of the new kitchen design is the new, octagonal island made of slate stained cabinets with a Milan grey quartz countertop. For contrast, the wall cabinets have a chestnut stain with a terra brown quartz countertop.
Our clients did not want to use recessed lighting in their kitchen, so we designed a custom track system and combined it with pendant lighting in other areas. For more formal family meals, we built a custom banquette that the children can also use for doing homework. The homeowner’s favorite part of the kitchen is the floor to ceiling cabinetry that offers loads of storage space.
The children in the family are very active and involved in many activities, but this home was not built to handle their comings and goings and all the “stuff” that goes with it. We removed a closet and used the extra space to create a fantastic mudroom with custom lockers, each with its on bottom drawer on rollers, personal bench, hooks and phone charging station! We also used this area to bring in some of the homeowner’s favorite bright colors.
We remodeled the laundry space to make it more functional for the family. Updates include open shelves to store laundry baskets, a new sink, cabinets with an oregano stain, and a countertop at just the right height for the parents.
The master bath received a luxurious update to create a relaxing space for mom and dad. A large tile shower replaces the old alcove bathtub and a new double vanity features java stained cabinets and quartz countertops.

We were excited when the homeowners of this project approached us to help them with their whole house remodel as this is a historic preservation project. The historical society has approved this remodel. As part of that distinction we had to honor the original look of the home; keeping the façade updated but intact. For example the doors and windows are new but they were made as replicas to the originals. The homeowners were relocating from the Inland Empire to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren. One of their requests was additional living space. In order to achieve this we added a second story to the home while ensuring that it was in character with the original structure. The interior of the home is all new. It features all new plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Although the home is a Spanish Revival the homeowners style on the interior of the home is very traditional. The project features a home gym as it is important to the homeowners to stay healthy and fit. The kitchen / great room was designed so that the homewoners could spend time with their daughter and her children. The home features two master bedroom suites. One is upstairs and the other one is down stairs. The homeowners prefer to use the downstairs version as they are not forced to use the stairs. They have left the upstairs master suite as a guest suite.

Kitchen: This kitchen was designed for someone who likes to cook! It features a Pot Filler, a peninsula and an island, a prep sink in the island, and cookbook storage on the end of the peninsula. The homeowners opted for a mix of stainless and paneled appliances. Although they have a formal dining room they wanted a casual breakfast area to enjoy informal meals with their grandchildren. The kitchen also utilizes a mix of recessed lighting and pendant lights. A wine refrigerator and outlets conveniently located on the island and around the backsplash are the modern updates that were important to the homeowners.
Master bath: The master bath enjoys both a soaking tub and a large shower with body sprayers and hand held. For privacy, the bidet was placed in a water closet next to the shower. There is plenty of counter space in this bathroom which even includes a makeup table.

Upstairs master suite: The upstairs master suite features the Juliette balcony
Outside: Wanting to take advantage of southern California living the homeowners requested an outdoor kitchen complete with retractable awning. The fountain and lounging furniture keep it light.

What a luxurious bathroom remodel! Note the Before and After pictures. Catch the contrasting white cabinets with the exotic Palleon granite with an updated rectangle sink, polished chrome faucet, beautiful updated drawer pulls and cabinets knobs, dark floor, fluffy white bathroom rug, reglazed tiles. What was once an outdated and dark galley bathroom has now been completely transformed offering an abundance of light, especially with the vanity mirror reflecting the bathroom window, bringing in the outdoors. This homeowner receives an applause, expecially for reglazing existing tiles! The dark Palleon Granite has exotic movements of blue, white, light gray swirls.....a stunning granite from nature!

Located in one of the Bay Area's finest neighborhoods and perched in the sky, this stately home is bathed in sunlight and offers vistas of magnificent palm trees. The grand foyer welcomes guests, or casually enter off the laundry/mud room. New contemporary touches balance well with charming original details. The 2.5 bathrooms have all been refreshed. The updated kitchen - with its large picture window to the backyard - is refined and chic. And with a built-in home office area, the kitchen is also functional. Fresh paint and furnishings throughout the home complete the updates.

We reimagined this great room with a modern fireplace renovation and thoughtful interior updates, turning it into a warm and welcoming space perfect for relaxing or entertaining. The original brick fireplace was replaced with a sleek, contemporary surround, creating a clean focal point beneath the vaulted ceiling. Custom built-in cabinetry offers functional storage while adding architectural interest. Soft neutral furnishings, cozy layered textiles, and abstract artwork bring comfort and style to this family-friendly living room. Ideal for movie nights, reading, or hosting guests, this great room now balances everyday livability with timeless design—showcasing our signature blend of form and function in residential interior design.

The front entrance of the Restoring 836 Folk-Victorian home offers a warm and inviting welcome that reflects the care taken throughout the renovation. MDR Design Co. preserved original architectural details such as classic woodwork and the transom window while updating finishes for a fresh yet timeless look. Soft, neutral tones and thoughtfully placed lighting create an inviting foyer that sets the tone for the home’s elegant restoration. While not visible here, the kitchen features convenient back stairs that provide discreet access to upper levels, enhancing the home’s functional flow and historic charm.

This client sought to update their recently purchased home in Alexandria. A gourmet kitchen that complemented the size of the home and property was a top priority. They wanted more light-filled and connected living spaces for their growing family. Updating the finishes throughout the home was also a necessity.
Design challenges included an existing utility space that occupied a large portion of the kitchen footprint, making the kitchen cramped and narrow. In addition, the foyer was dark, confined and uninviting as a result of its organization and enclosed nature of the main stair.
To overcome the challenges, we relocated the utilities, creating a more usable footprint for the kitchen. The aging furnace was replaced with a high efficiency furnace located in a newly insulated and conditioned crawl space. A new hot water heater was placed in the finished attic, and the electrical panel was also relocated. Then, we designed a portion of the kitchen to mask the need for dropped structural headers: the refrigerator, freezer and pantry were placed under the area that necessitated a drop bulkhead, creating a sleek built-in area for the appliances.
Once the utilities were moved, the kitchen could be opened up to a large family room and designed with a much-improved layout. Two new four-panel exterior doors replaced small doors at the family room to connect the main living space with the beautiful yard. In addition, white bead board was added to the family room ceiling, creating more visual continuity with the adjacent white kitchen.
To transform the foyer into a grand and welcoming entry, a small amount of space was taken from a large second floor bedroom, and the entire second floor structure was supported with a series of flush beams to allow the stair to be opened and expose the rail. New glass doors to the den, relocated at an angle from the main stair provide the foyer with more natural light and a wider, more inviting path to the kitchen.
In the master suite, the bedroom and bathroom entry doors were relocated to improve the room’s layout and offer more bathroom privacy and space for a walk-in closet. A room forgotten by the previous owner was turned into a family mudroom with built-ins and wainscoting to keep the family organized in style.
