Luckily for us, our temperate California climate makes it possible for the patios to be used consistently throughout the year. The original kitchen design did not have exposed beams, but we decided to replicate the motif of the 30" living room beams in the kitchen as well, making it one of our favorite details of the house. To make the kitchen more functional, we added a second island allowing us to separate kitchen tasks. So when sales representative Randy Kirchof was researching how to furnish his new home office, he knew it had to do a lot more than just look good. His former home office furnishings were not only unsuitable for a thriving home-based business, they didn't work with each other, either. "My old home office had a mismatch of furniture," Randy says. "When we built our new house, I decided I was going to do it right. That meant outfitting my office with Lista cabinets." A solid choice.
