A Stunning and Functional Work Space Designing a custom desk and bookshelf with storage cabinets was key to creating a beautiful and functional work space. Taking cues from the living spaces we continued the simple palette of warm white oak, cream, black, and camel leather and paired it with the luscious green of the stunning Petros Koublis photograph to create a sophisticated space that feels cozy and inviting. The end result is a visually stunning room that invites moments of respite along with work. Add complementing storage pieces such as a matching file cabinet or bookcase, all of which will be crafted from domestic hardwoods and hand-finished.

This home office was literally picked up and moved from my personal home office to the Southern Ideal Home Show stage. The entire design plan was inspired by the large round orange lamp. Complimenting the pops of orange are robin eggs blue and light grey. The desk was purchased on Craigslist and was originally a buttery yellow color that I painted Porpoise Grey. Orange, grey and light blue pillows add texture and color to the cream colored Clayton Marcus sofa. Custom cabinetry, custom pinch pleat drapes and a large damask graphic rug complete the room.
