A renovation opens up the space in this Marietta, GA farmhouse kitchen. A mix of industrial, farmhouse chic, and modern open shelving bring this space to life. Accented with a classic white subway tile backsplash by Specialty Tile Products in 3x6's with a contrasting gray grout for a modern look and ease of use. Bringing the subway tile up the wall to meet the reclaimed heart pine shelving gives this kitchen a truly vintage 1920's industrial feel. The wallpaper is a dark floral by Ellie Cashman Design. The floor tiles are Calacatta honed 2x2 hexs. The lights are Camille Sconces in hand rubbed brass by visual comfort.

This modern Honolulu kitchen was part of a full home remodel in a home situated above the city in the hills. What used to be an 80's / 90's dark dining room became transformed into a beautifully elevated and uplifting modern kitchen. Ethereal feels and vibes are this designer's inspiration choice. The goal is to make one feel uplifted, optimistic, energized and inspired in their home. The countertop is Dekton Opera, the upper cabinets are - wait for it... IKEA! - and the lower cabinets are custom work by @burlandbarrel. The inlaid "wood-look" ceiling is using paneling, (think, floor on the ceiling), and the underside of the cabinets are custom wood pieces to make the lighting lay flush.

February 9th, 2021 marked day one of the first ever virtual Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), which showcases hundreds of new products coming to the design industry in 2021 from brand names ranging from GE to Kohler. While LIVDEN didn’t exhibit at KBIS this year, our sustainable tile was featured at the Café Appliances’ showcase kitchen, Endless Optimist, designed by exhibit designer TK Wismer. The GE brand Café Appliances manufactures custom appliances ranging from brightly colored refrigerators to sleek coffee makers for modern homes. Their trade mark is “Distinct by Design,” and after touring their test kitchens at KBIS, you will see why. Tk featured the playful PUZZLE PIECE series in MINT on our recycled 12x12 Polar Ice Terrazzo as the kitchen backsplash.

This stunning 8,600 sf single-family home gracefully blends contemporary aesthetic with historic architecture. Situated on a tight, urban lot in the bustling Wicker Park neighborhood, the project presented unique challenges associated with constructing a new structure while preserving and renovating the circa 1880’s coach house. Several notable elements: the use of 3 different window systems (including Chicago’s first installation of the “Thermal Evolution Technology” Hopes Windows), a structurally glazed 3-sided glass link seamlessly connecting the new home to the historical coach house, an exterior zinc metal panel system on the rear façade, polished terrazzo flooring, Carlisle Optimistic Stone wide plank flooring on the 2nd floor, and radiant floor heat throughout.
