In order to create a symmetrical visual effect our designers used wall accents, like well-placed sconces and wallpaper set into custom picture frame molding, on both sides in order to make the space appear symmetrical and equal despite the size differences. This gray and transitional kitchen remodel bridges the gap between contemporary style and traditional style. The dark gray cabinetry, light gray walls, and white subway tile backsplash make for a beautiful, neutral canvas for the bold teal blue and yellow décor accented throughout the design. Designer Gwen Adair of Cabinet Supreme by Adair did a fabulous job at using grays to create a neutral backdrop to bring out the bright, vibrant colors that the homeowners love so much. This Milwaukee, WI kitchen is the perfect example of Dura Supreme's recent launch of gray paint finishes, it has been interesting to see these new cabinetry colors suddenly flowing across our manufacturing floor, destined for homes around the country. Transparency throughout the property was an integral part of the design for the home owners. The goal of the plan and the form was to connect the interior to the exterior in order to create a transparency between the terrain and the architecture. The plan had to be transparent in order to connect views from multiple areas of the 4,700 sf. household. A sense of privacy and security was maintained in certain areas through the activation of landscape barriers such as boulders, bedrock, and elevation and grade changes.
