This being the second of two cafes, the owners of Kaffe Co. wanted something a little different to their original space, opening up the kitchen and front counter area to allow customers to see right into the kitchen and preparation spaces. This was a complete custom kitchen remodel where we opened up the space to more than double its original size. I utilized my space planning talent to open up the area and provide a kitchen that works for not only preparing meals, but a great space for the children to do homework and other activities.

This casita was completely renovated from floor to ceiling in preparation of Airbnb short term romantic getaways. The color palette of teal green, blue and white was brought to life with curated antiques that were stripped of their dark stain colors, collected fine linens, fine plaster wall finishes, authentic Turkish rugs, antique and custom light fixtures, original oil paintings and moorish chevron tile and Moroccan pattern choices.

The original kitchen in this space was a u-shape layout and had limited preparation space for the homeowners. In this new kitchen design the layout was completely re-thought and two island benches were created. As part of this redesign, what used to be a walk-in-pantry was opened up to create an appliance nook and extra drawer storage. This kitchen easily accommodates two cooks at the same time and the homeowners are now able to face the dining area and interact with their guests while cooking.
