Bellwether Windows, Siding & DoorsThis 1970s ranch home in South East Denver was roasting in the summer and freezing in the winter. It was also time to replace the wood composite siding throughout the home. Since Colorado Siding Repair was planning to remove and replace all the siding, we proposed that we install OSB underlayment and insulation under the new siding to improve it’s heating and cooling throughout the year.
After we addressed the insulation of their home, we installed James Hardie ColorPlus® fiber cement siding in Grey Slate with Arctic White trim. James Hardie offers ColorPlus® Board & Batten. We installed Board & Batten in the front of the home and Cedarmill HardiPlank® in the back of the home. Fiber cement siding also helps improve the insulative value of any home because of the quality of the product and how durable it is against Colorado’s harsh climate.
We also installed James Hardie beaded porch panel for the ceiling above the front porch to complete this home exterior make over. We think that this 1970s ranch home looks like a dream now with the full exterior remodel. What do you think?

Deskins Group LLCThis giant ranch house started with an awkward full wall of brick over a porch on the entire right side of the house. The builder failed to properly flash the wall causing the water to come down through the ceiling of the porch below. We demoed the wall, sheathed it with OSB and Tyvek Homewrap, and built back with Hardie siding with a board and batten upper section to break up 26' tall wall. We also repaired the porch area, some interior damaged, refinished the mahogany doors, and repaired the brick on the other side of the house.

UserThis ceiling is 13" high as the main entry to this fine home. The walls are approximately 12" square with amazing arched doorways on 3 sides. The gold leaf was aligned horizontally to meet at the center. There is blue, red and gold hand painting done over the custom cut stencils. The medallion was a photoshop add on instead of leaving wires and a hole for our pictures. (You can see that blue tape is on the window peeking out on the bottom of the photo.)

The CousinsThe new basement is the ultimate multi-functional space. A bar, foosball table, dartboard, and glass garage door with direct access to the back provide endless entertainment for guests; a cozy seating area with a whiteboard and pop-up television is perfect for Mike's work training sessions (or relaxing!); and a small playhouse and fun zone offer endless possibilities for the family's son, James.
Bryanoji Design StudioThe architect minimized the finish materials palette. Both roof and exterior siding are 4-way-interlocking machined aluminium shingles, installed by the same sub-contractor to maximize quality and productivity. Interior finishes and built-in furniture were limited to plywood and OSB (oriented strand board) with no decorative trimmings. The open floor plan reduced the need for doors and thresholds. In return, his rather stoic approach expanded client’s freedom for space use, an essential criterion for single family homes.
Altura ArchitectsOur client has a large collection of bonsai trees and wanted an exhibition space for the extensive collection and a workshop to tend to the growing plants. Together we came up with a plan for a beautiful garden with plenty of space and a water feature. The design also included a Japanese-influenced pavilion in the middle of the garden. The pavilion is comprised of three separate rooms. The first room is features a tokonoma, a small recessed space to display art. The second, and largest room, provides an open area for display. The room can be accessed by large glass folding doors and has plenty of natural light filtering through the skylights above. The third room is a workspace with tool storage.
