This modern home with hints of classic design is situated on a hilltop estate in Pacific Palisades, California. Architect and Designer, Michelle Anaya, took on the challenge of renovating the home into the breathtaking residence that it is today. The home features Hallmark Floors: Engineered Hardwood Floors throughout most of the interior. The vision of the interior design was influenced by the outdoors. The home boasts a world-class view highlighted by large windows featuring some of the best sights in the country. Five rigorous years of planning, detailed designing, and extensive renovating resulted in a stunning outcome. “The color of the floor was the perfect selection to compliment the home’s natural landscape with the interior. I needed a floor that would compliment these natural colors… I didn’t want to compete with the sky, the greenery, and the ocean. The floors came out amazing!”

Taking place in Coto de Caza, CA, this complete kitchen remodel underwent quite the transformation to achieve an “organic modern” look. You can see that we installed porcelain countertops as well as glazed ceramic wall tile for a clean and fresh feel. All cabinets are custom made by our crew and include a fresh coat or crisp white paint and black hardware. You will also notice the newly fabricated and stained floating shelves and island. Our clients loved the outcome so much, this kitchen is now just the starting point on their list of home renovations.

Our wonderful clients who are native to New Jersey purchased a new-build townhouse in Charlotte, North Carolina and asked us to turn it into a warm and welcoming home. We accomplished this by starting with an overall neutral palette and incorporating texture to every room along with dark elements which added depth throughout. Fun wallpaper and original artwork created by a local Charlotte artist were also focal points of the home which enhanced it's personality even more. Our most challenging space was the narrow outdoor area, which started out as a screened in porch with a fireplace. We were able to transform the space into a beautiful and function lounge and dining area which is used to entertain friends and family constantly. We couldn't be happier that our client was thrilled with the outcome!

This chic project was a lot of fun! As the general contractors on the job, we were tasked with jobs such as wrapping the double-floor story column with rope, installing a floor to ceiling wood panel wall covering with shelving, installing new porcelain tile flooring, a staircase banister made of rope and squeezing in a very small kitchen on top of all the other normal job site items. The outcome is this beautiful, beach-chic, cozy home in the heart of South Beach with plush, green surroundings.

2011 NARI CAPITAL COTY FINALIST AWARD WINNER This family of four has recently purchased this home and their life style is involved with kids and outdoor activities. They disliked their current kitchen and the existing breakfast area was too small. The old wooden deck was small and falling apart, and they wanted to replace it with an area in which they could entertain and have a place for the kids to play. The first step in the renovation was to tear down the back wall of the existing kitchen and breakfast room. A major load bearing wall holding up part of the second floor, major structural beams had to be put in place. Once installed, a 10’ x 24’ addition was added to extend the kitchen and breakfast room. An interior laundry entrance was relocated to allow for pantry and bigger refrigerator to be installed. A large bay window was placed over the sink to bring more natural light into the workspace. The new kitchen layout offers a lot more storage and counter space. A large island offers a prep sink and significant counter space for cooking, having a buffet, doing homework or having a quick meal. The maple cabinetry with slight glaze of mocha, granite counters, a stone accented backsplash and stainless steel appliances give this kitchen remodel a real spark. Large double windows and transoms offer mom and dad full view of the built-in sandbox just outside so they can watch the children. New French doors lead onto the 20’ x 28’ flagstone patio. A short stone wall provides privacy and embedded lights make the space usable after sunset. The outcome has been a delight for this family and achieved their goals. They can entertain indoors or outdoors and the kids have a great place to play.

My clients were looking for a warm array of tones for their small kitchen that would offer a blend of old and new. We ultimately settled with Kabinart Cabinetry for the furniture parts, utilizing the Arts and Crafts Door Style in Cherry Toffee alongside the Cottage Door Style in Willow Paint with Coffee Glaze accent. Weathered Nickel hardware from Top Knobs was used to maintain the Craftsman style feel of the room (cup pulls for drawers). I highlighted the room with Black Walnut Butcher Block for the island counter top. This added not only additional warmth but also tied in the tones of the room while providing a comfortable resting space while my clients enjoyed their morning coffee. Cortec Click Lock Vinyl for the floor (Blackstone Oak) provided a lovely, long-lasting surface for the floor. Lastly, Verde Butterfly Granite with a large stainless steel undermount sink provided some depth to the perimeter, while the tumbled marble kept things feeling not only rustic, but also added some splashes of light and dark earth tones. This early 2000s Cherry Kitchen needed updated and rearranged to work better for the client's needs. The outcome is an inviting two-tone kitchen with large island and wood hood. This gorgeous kitchen features Omega cabinetry, Cambria Countertops and tile backsplash.

Designed by Lauren Hunt of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Charlotte NC, this transitional style inspired kitchen design with small bar area features Ultracraft Cabinetry in the Avon door style with two finishes. The perimeter kitchen design is in the Simply White finish with the finish Black on the kitchen island. The kitchen countertops are MSI Q Calacatta Laza. The kitchen also features a Best Tile Soho Rumba Diamond Gris 4x8 tile backsplash. “Remodeling a kitchen during COVID was certainly a challenge given the delays in the supply chain and while this did extend our timeline, the finished result was well worth it,” said the client. “Lauren had so many great suggestions to make the kitchen work better for us, such as making the most of the lower cabinet areas by adding drawers and selecting a frameless cabinet line that provided more additional space. Cooking and entertaining have never been so much fun! Lauren and our Project Manager Eric are both such great people to work with. I really appreciated their patience as we were trying to make decisions and for their efforts in ensuring all details were addressed. “The clients were so great to work with and incredibly patient,” said Lauren. “We didn't make any significant layout changes from their existing floor plan, so our goal was to maximize functionality using accessories like a lazy susan, spice pullout, and knife/utensil pullout, and to update the cabinetry to match the rest of their beautiful home. We wanted to keep everything very clean and streamlined, so the appliances were flush installed and we tried to minimize the number of stiles and rails on the cabinetry so the kitchen didn't look too busy. This customer decided to upgrade a fairly new townhome ‘stock-kitchen’ to better suit their tastes. The original kitchen, just like everyone else’s in the development, featured a solid veneer slab style of door and drawer front in a reddish oak veneer. The pulls were more aesthetic than functional. The owners opted to reface their kitchen cabinetry in a very warm and inviting Cherry veneer done in a Milano stain. They chose an upgraded cabinet front, using a raised panel solid Cherry door and drawer front, which gave their ‘new kitchen’ a very rich and welcoming look and feel. Arched Amerock brushed nickel pulls were chosen to highlight the new cabinet door design. Blum softclose hinges were used to further modernize this customer’s newly renovated kitchen. Since completion, this customer is extremely pleased with the transition and outcome – a new kitchen look that beautifully sets their home apart from the rest of their neighbors within the complex.

Reinforced structure, Repair and Refinishing of Wood Bridge in Webster Groves, MO. The torrential rain of July caused the creek above this bridge in Webster Groves to flood and sweeping the bridge 1-2 feet away from its original placement. In addition, supporting posts beneath the bridge that were not originally anchored, slipped and floated away. In order to prevent future movement of the wood bridge and to ensure proper post support, we anchored a ledger to a concrete block, replaced wood support beams, and tied all supporting elements using strong Simpson Strong Ties. After reinforcing the structure to ensure flooding would not negatively impact the bridge, we cleaned all existing wood, replaced rotted bridge boards, and applied a clear natural stain with built-in UV protection that should protect the wood of the bridge and provide an attractive cosmetic appearance for about two years, when it will need to be refinished again. A fun and good outcome for the project.

We absolutely love the final outcome of this beautiful kitchen remodel in Roswell. Her style is a blend of Southern and Grandmillenial. This client is a return customer with two kids and a love for cooking and baking, so when we renovated her master bathroom last year, she told us her kitchen would be next.

The homeowners wanted to transform their dated 90’s bathroom to an updated spa like master bath retreat. We chose finishes that fit the style of the rest of the Woodland Trails home in warm toned tiles, glass mosaic accents, Cambria quartz vanity countertop, oil rubbed bronze fixtures and accessories, custom mirrors, updated lighting, and we also changed the wall color to a warm beige with a neutral green accent wall. The homeowners are ecstatic with the transformation, and we're very proud of the outcome as well!

2013 NARI Capital CotY, Merit Award Winner, Creative Solutions under $15,000 Objective: This couple was tired of the old brick look of their family room and its embedded fireplace. They wanted to uplift the entire room, with better lighting, updated built ins and new gas log fireplace. Challenges: It was not an easy task to get rid of all masonry and brick wall. Gas lines and powder line were quite distance away and the family room floor was a concrete slab. Design solutions: It was important for the couple to create an optional separation between the family room and the kitchen for times that she is having her book club gang over and husband wanted to watch his sporting events. Part of the wall between kitchen and family room was taken by a closet. We have removed that entire wall and implemented a 6” wide Barn door for a partial solution to their problem. New wiring for light and cable wires were running into the old masonry wall. Gas line gave the old wood burning fireplace and new life. Custom built in cabinetry was placed in place old masonry wall. A new stone hearth and surround wrapped around the new fireplace. New hardwood wide plank flooring gave this family room warmth. New recess lighting has offered a much brighter room. Outcome: He gets to enjoy his favorite football team beat up the rebels while she gets to have her tea party around the kitchen table. And in all other occasions they get to cuddle by the flames of a new fireplace.

Confident in their desire to bid farewell to a rarely used formal dining room, these homeowners let us design and build a large and highly functional kitchen using the space previously occupied by the formal dining room and kitchen. Careful consideration was taken to blend the new space with the old. This kitchen got a huge transformation by removing the soffits and installing taller cabinets. They went with a flat Richfield door by Bridgewood in maple. The upper cabinets were done in snow while the lower cabinets and the island were done in pewter. We also installed a new Cambria quartz countertop in Seagrove and a winter metal mosaic backsplash. The grey/white combination paired with Cambria’s Seagrove turned this kitchen into a stunner!! The home owners were ecstatic with the outcome.

The kitchen includes the Barton door style in a Cottage finish for the perimeter and a custom Sherwin-Williams Mount Etna painted finish for the island. The space also features MSI W Calacatta Safyra countertops, along with a Frigidaire canopy hood and microwave. The client shared, “Gutting our old kitchen to reconfigure the space for better flow, workspace, and storage was a challenge. Emma listened to my needs and offered helpful tips and options, which made the process work. The layout followed the workflow, and my habits and style guided the final details. Reico gave me the options and confidence to trust the process, and the outcome is seamless and beautiful.” Emma explained, “This kitchen is one of my favorites. The homeowners wanted to replace the peninsula with a custom painted island in Sherwin-Williams Mount Etna, which paired well with the Cottage perimeter cabinets, Calacatta Safyra countertops, sea glass backsplash, and honey bronze hardware.
