Inspiration for a mediterranean kitchen remodel in New Orleans

Southwest meets the Northwest. This client wanted a real rustic southwest style. The perimeter is rustic rough sawn knotty alder and the Island is hand painted rustic pine. The wide plank wood top is the center piece to this kitchen. Lots of colorful Mexican tile give depth to the earth tones. All the cabinets are custom made by KC Fine Cabinetry.

The kids shared bath in this lake house is bright and lively. The terra cotta floor has colourful painted insert tiles. Family room - rustic family room idea in Other

we sanded the original knotty pine walls and then stained them white to lighten and freshen the room. The bookcases were painted a soft white and the mantel restored to wood. The ceiling was vaulted with new lighting and fan and additional non-structural beams added to complete the look
