This artistic and design-forward family approached us at the beginning of the pandemic with a design prompt to blend their love of midcentury modern design with their Caribbean roots. With her parents originating from Trinidad & Tobago and his parents from Jamaica, they wanted their home to be an authentic representation of their heritage, with a midcentury modern twist. We found inspiration from a colorful Trinidad & Tobago tourism poster that they already owned and carried the tropical colors throughout the house — rich blues in the main bathroom, deep greens and oranges in the powder bathroom, mustard yellow in the dining room and guest bathroom, and sage green in the kitchen. The 2020 pandemic has permanently changed the way we think of “play spaces”. Once, these spaces were just relegated to the outside, many families are now seeking ways to keep kids entertained inside. We took an open attic space and transformed it into a dream play space for young children. With plenty of space for “rough housing” and for adult seating, this space will help keep cabin fever at bay for years to come.

More function upon entering this space… the usual perch for keys and airpods but also a wall clock to keep track of time as you binge watch season after season in these pandemic days!!

We managed to install the climbing wall before the pandemic shut-downs, and these kids put it to good use! The monkey bar installation had to wait until last winter to keep everyone as safe as possible.

An absolute residential fantasy. This custom modern Blue Heron home with a diligent vision- completely curated FF&E inspired by water, organic materials, plenty of textures, and nods to Chanel couture tweeds and craftsmanship. Custom lighting, furniture, mural wallcovering, and more. This is just a sneak peek, with more to come. With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting everyone’s vacation plans, dinner outings, and other activities, some customers are spending their money on home renovations. This homeowner in Wayne, NJ had us complete this clean, polished bathroom finish. This bathroom finish consisted of installing the faucet, toilet, tub, and shower trim.

Design & wellness :: the Zoom House is designed for multiple private video conferencing areas, daylighting, active design, and connection to the outdoor spaces. Baylen is 9 years old and was diagnosed at age 6 with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) in October 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. DMD is a rare disease caused by a genetic mutation that prevents the body from producing a protein called Dystrophin, to which there is currently no cure. In lieu of Dystrophin, his muscles are slowly being encompassed with scar tissue. Without Dystrophin the scar tissue will eventually take over his muscles until they cannot perform adequately for his body.

Spending more time at home during the pandemic magnified Allen's desire to create a healthy, clean and comfortable home. Even though the kitchen already had a lot of windows, Allen wanted to optimize natural light overhead.
