The Chairish Villa at The Colony is a celebration of authentic Palm Beach style, reimagined for today’s tastemaking and affluent guests. As America’s premier emporium for vintage and antique furnishings, Chairish is known for serving up historical design expertise with heaping sides of high/low chic and playful irreverence. Likewise, the Colony is celebrated the world over as a vintage mecca with a 100-year history of tastemaking residents. This spirit of play guided our design approach, and the Chairish Villa fearlessly mixes historically significant, Palm Beach specific design themes with modern additions like contemporary art, mid-century furnishings and sophisticated layering to delight The Colony’s fashionable clientele. Chinoiserie motifs, animalia details, wicker, rattan, and breezy hues abound. Palm Beach is a famed treasure trove of vintage and antique furnishings, offered by an extensive community of expert local purveyors. Almost all the furnishings selected by Chairish for the project were locally sourced from Chairish dealers within 5 miles from the hotel, making The Chairish Villa at The Colony both a fashionable and sustainable destination. We used matching archival wallpaper and fabric pairings. This approach was specifically inspired by the Yellow Roses Room at the Flagler Mansion, and we sourced our textile, wallpaper, and trim pairings exclusively from our partner Schumacher Hospitality. Schumacher’s Del Tesoro pattern, based on a 19th-century French document, served as the project’s overall jumping off point. We also used Hydrangea Drape, which was inspired by a design of Hobe Erwin. The villa features over 40 pieces of art: largely comprised of contemporary works from 20 artists from around the world, half of which were tapped to create original works specific to the space. This impressive showing is complemented by a small selection of vintage artwork as well. Noteworthy Artists include: Liz Marsh, Hope Olson, Brock DeBoer, Lia Burke Libaire, Venetia Syms, Ron Giusti, and Virginia Chamlee, among others. This new kitchen in Plainview, NY, needed to make a statement over the windows. A Robert Allen Embroidered fabric was selected to complete the look. The tapes on the wood blinds were a perfect match. to the wall and the cornice fabric. There were two other windows and a door in the same room. The arch on the cornice matched an arch in the doorway to the room.

Most MTI drop-in and freestanding baths can be equipped with our thoughtfully engineered air bath systems. Designer and Boutique Collection air baths feature air jets that are appropriately called "illusion” jets because they are barely visible and absolutely flush with the bottom of the bathing well. This design allows for optimized placement of the air jets for maximum performance and therapeutic effectiveness, without sacrificing bather comfort or compromising the aesthetic beauty of the bath. The Air Massage and Air Massage Elite systems caress the body with millions of relaxing air bubbles provided by a quiet blower with a ceramic heating element which pre-warms the air to body temperature. As the air bubbles rise from the bottom, they cling to the skin and open the pores, drawing the capillaries to the surface and thereby increasing blood circulation and detoxifying the bather.

Adding a bit of an industrial flavor to the dining room with limestone/concrete wall treatment. Done by a local Portland artisan. Most of the pieces in the dining room are reclaimed, re purposed, architectural salvage or vintage.

Modern "klismos" dining chairs from Donghia, with blue leather seats, around rosewood dining table on hammered metal pedestal base. Custom lacquered peacock blue sideboard holds table linens. Polished metal bar stools with faux shagreen blue leather seats and backs. Chandelier casts soft "donut" shadows when illuminated. Antique convex mirror.

Inspiration for a transitional living room remodel in Orlando with white walls

We design sliding shutters from our best-selling plantation shutters: Polywood. Not only do these shutters last more than 50 years, but they're also excellent at blocking the effects of weather conditions to save you money on your energy bills. And the louvers can be easily tilted open to let in as much light as you want. We offer these shutters for sliding glass doors in two configurations based on the space you have available. Bypass configuration works well in rooms where there isn't space to spare on either side of the sliding glass doors. In the bifold configuration, both sets of shutter panels fold out from the center and move to the side, thanks to a top-mounted track.

This bathroom is in the second floor of a major addition to a 1930 stone colonial. We used a modern design with traditional underpinnings. Modern roller shades by Urban Loft Window Treatments function well as window treatments without blocking the light or view.
