Because the Client is an ardent gardener of her own right, the gardens are extensive and dense. Add to that the dense canopy of spruces immediately adjacent to the front facade and the stand of aspen trees in the island f the drive...
In proposing a wall all along the entire front of the home, I gave the garden breathing space. Usually a lawn performs this role, but this property has none in front.
Jae proposed a fountain with a distilled palette of peonies, which also created breathing space in the garden.
Jade's selection of a pale yellow paint brought light and life as well.

AirPave for Aggregate Containment and Drainage Swale was utilized by the City of Edmond for their parking lot remodel. This Aggregate Containment Drainage Swale helps capture debris and allows for the runoff of rainwater into a containment pond.
A drainage swale is a low tract of land, especially one that is moist or marshy. The term can refer to a natural landscape feature or a human-created one. Artificial swales are often designed to manage water runoff, filter pollutants, and increase rainwater infiltration.

We began this project with the idea of making a friendly entryway and social area under the Mulberry tree which provides much needed shade in this hot, mountainous area. The 'red fescue' meadow grass has a cooling effect and the agaves reduce the need for excess water and maintenance.
The backyard has a covered dining area with a corner lounge and fireplace. The large barbecue offers a cantilevered counter for entertaining. The waterfall into the pool is surrounded with bamboo and plantings that emulate the hillside beyond the property. The permeable paving and mix of Vitex and Olive trees provide shade for smaller seating areas to enjoy the variety of succulents throughout the garden

10,000 sf driveway paved with GRANITE Historic European Cobblestone, authentic reclaimed granite cobble imported from Europe. (In these photos, snow and wet conditions affect appearance.) Client selected the 5" x 5" granite cobble, sawn at 2" for installation over a driveway heating system.

3,200 sf driveway with authentic antique Historic European Cobblestone in two sizes; 5x5's and small mosaics. Motor court used smaller 'mosaic' cubes for circle.

Sand set natural stone paving is a sustainable and permeable solution for your next paving and walk way project. Sand set stone has all of the benefits of sand set unit pavers, with a more natural look. Creeping thyme was planted in the larger crevices, adding interest, as well as scent, softening the look and feel of the patio. Eventually it will mature to cover all of the gaps.
