To create a low maintenance, water wise landscape, we removed existing lawn and concrete walkway. Installed Angeles Block pavers in Tuscan, Desert Gold gravel and Boulders, Drought tolerant Aloes, Agaves, Phormium and Callistemon. And installed Drip Irrigation under the gravel.

this tiny water-wise front yard is on a terrace leading up to the house, viewed both from the inside of the house and looking down on the garden from the stairs to the front door. The garden is designed to be a 'garden of curiosities', a visual painting with dramatic foliage color and architectural plants. Succulents include Agava 'Kara's Stripes', Various Aeoniums, Phormiums, Coprosma 'Pacific Sunset', Oxalis 'Zinfandel', Chondropetalum, Agave 'Blue Glow (pot) among other plants

Inspiration for a large mediterranean drought-tolerant and full sun front yard landscaping in San Francisco.

This is an example of a mediterranean front yard water fountain landscape in Los Angeles.

Low-water Mediterranean plant combination includes: Euphorbia characias - Spurge, Leucadendron 'Summer Red' - Cone Flower, and a variegated Phorumium -New Zealand Flax.

Photo includes additional updates to the front garden in early 2015. The front areas of this landscape in Bel Marin Keys, Novato, were transformed from a tired, water thirsty-lawn into a contemporary setting with dramatic concrete pavers leading to the home's entrance. And a new driveway design featuring large concrete slabs and small black pebbles set in resin in between. A variety of low-water plants for sun and part shade complete this project front yard transformation. Installed in February 2014.
