Inspiration for a transitional light wood floor family room library remodel in Louisville with gray walls, no fireplace and a media wall

This modern teenage boy's room is the perfect picture of his personality. His love of music is evident by the guitars and record player that are proudly displayed. Our design team took this vision further by incorporating a modern upholstered king-sized wall bed, guitar artwork, geometric linens and sleek hanging pendants on each side of the bed. A swivel chair in the corner provides a comfortable spot for him to play the guitar and to swivel to face the mountain views if he wishes. A modern desk and computer on the opposite side of the room (not pictured) allow a spot for gaming or for completing homework. Washable linens and a soft textured rug complete the room. The adjoining on-suite bathroom features gray textured tile and acrylic guitar artwork to complete the music themed suite.

This dramatically striking high-tech home of 6376 livable square feet is literally a piece of contemporary art Astounding mountain and valley views frame the Phoenix city lights at night over the infinity edge pool and disappearing spa. The focal point of the main living area is a copper and fire display centered on two 24 feet corners of remote controlled, motorized retractable glass. The adjacent game room and home theater, featuring another 16 feet of remote controlled, motorized retractable glass, opens to make this home truly indoor/outdoor. A stunning 12-foot tall water wall with art niches behind it lends grandeur to the entryway. The kitchen has every conceivable luxury, as well as a hidden pantry flanked by a dual Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer. The one of a kind powder room features an electrically charged glass door that turns opaque at the touch of a button, as well as a glass floor above a changeable display, and floating glass sink. Playful walls at unexpected angles, curves, and textures fill the home. Sculpted glass, a body spray multi head shower, hidden TV, and other luxuries enhance the luxurious spa like atmosphere of the master bath. After re-evaluating the project, the live / work compound is currently sited in a natural protected nest with post card views of Mount Sopris & the Roaring Fork Valley. The courtyard compound consist of the central south facing piece being the studio flanked by a simple 2500 sq ft 2 bedroom, 2 story house one the west side, and a multi purpose guest wing /studio on the east side. The evolution of this compound came to include the desire to have the building blend into the surrounding landscape, and at the same time become the backdrop to create and display his sculpture. “Jess has been our architect on several projects over the past ten years. This living room got an upgraded look with the help of new paint, furnishings, fireplace tiling and the installation of a bar area. Our clients like to party and they host very often... so they needed a space off the kitchen where adults can make a cocktail and have a conversation while listening to music. We accomplished this with conversation style seating around a coffee table. We designed a custom built-in bar area with wine storage and beverage fridge, and floating shelves for storing stemware and glasses. The fireplace also got an update with beachy glazed tile installed in a herringbone pattern and a rustic pine mantel. The homeowners are also love music and have a large collection of vinyl records. We commissioned a custom record storage cabinet from Hansen Concepts which is a piece of art and a conversation starter of its own. The record storage unit is made of raw edge wood and the drawers are engraved with the lyrics of the client's favorite songs. It's a masterpiece and will be an heirloom for sure.

When you dad is a professional pitcher, it is pretty easy to decide that you want a baseball themed bedroom. Our client had various pitching grips photographed which are the focal point of this space and will be an heirloom for the family. Stripes in muted tones wrap around the entire room and will be a backdrop as the little boy grows up. A classic iron bed topped with vintage baseball themed bedding add subtle color and pattern. Reading lamps above the bed make bedtime story time easy.

Leather-wrapped rattan and decorative latticework show an island-inspired, Polynesian influence on this sophisticated sofa table. A functional as well as fashionable storage piece, two open shelves offer plenty of room to display souvenirs from your travels, framed photos, or your flatscreen TV and media players

This Australian-inspired new construction was a successful collaboration between homeowner, architect, designer and builder. The home features a Henrybuilt kitchen, butler's pantry, private home office, guest suite, master suite, entry foyer with concealed entrances to the powder bathroom and coat closet, hidden play loft, and full front and back landscaping with swimming pool and pool house/ADU.

Up the ante of your bachelor's retreat (and alternative rooms) aesthetic by adding a meticulously stylised cornice boards. The cornice boards in this house includes (2) different materials, an upholstered wood top molding and absolutely symmetrical handicraft on the curtains. Also, the (4) animal skin wing-backed chairs square measure superbly adorned with nail-heads that are carried throughout the design. This bachelor retreat features a stunning pendant and hand-tufted ottoman table. This house is warm and welcoming and perfect for intimate conversations amongst family and friends for years to come. Please take note - when using cornices, one should decide what proportion return is required. Return is the distance your material hangs away from the wall. Yes, this additionally affects the proportion. Usually, return is 3½ inches. However, larger or taller windows might need a deeper return to avoid the fabric from getting squashed against the wall.
