This backyard garden in Bushwick, Brooklyn was build for entertaining and relaxing. It features a large cutting garden for fresh flowers as well as several organic raised bed for harvesting fresh herbs and veggies.

We opened up this space to the living room and created this fun beachy kitchen in pleasure point.

The Simple Pleasures project required macro shots of all the things I love. This emphasized the simplicity of each subject and how they effortlessly manifest gratification. Unique angles, clarity and details were among my main objectives. Ultimately, my goal was to convey this fundamental lesson of simple pleasures in a creative photographic message in hopes of illustrating the value of this explainable phenomenon. I chose items that most of us walk by most of the time without much thought. As a result, this project is a pictorial representation of some of the amazing inexpensive sources of joy in my world. Photography is one way for me to express the way I think, feel, and love. What I have captured with my camera last longer then the fleeting moments of bliss. Using reclaimed materials we created a country-garden feel in the middle of Brooklyn. Here native mints blend with a fig trees, roses, spirea shrubs and Iris for a lush and inviting garden space.

Raised beds made of cedar and filled with organic soil ensure this family can grow and harvest fresh food all year round. Kale, lemongrass, cucumbers, melons and lots of herbs fill the boxes. Garden by Greenery NYC.

When the soil in this garden tested positive for lead and other heavy metals, Greenery NYC built cedar raised beds filled with organic soil so that this Brooklyn family could grow fresh food.

Nothing evokes the spirit of the ocean more than unobstructed cliff side views of the Pacific and nautical décor. This custom home was built to entertain guests who can’t help but enjoy the pleasures of sunny days and the warmth and light of the unique fire wall into the night.

This cute beach house in the iconic Pleasure Point neighborhood needed an overhaul after years of salt spray and neglect. My client wanted low-maintenance plants, year-round color and succulents. He also wanted a peaceful, zen-like environment. We chose neutral pavers in greys and tans in a simple pattern for the driveway and flagstone for the patio that matched the new colors of the home. The plant palette is simple yet striking and about as low-maintenance as you can get. A beautiful waterfall cascades over stone and percolates gradually into the drycreek. A perfect spot for unwinding with a glass of wine after a long day.
