Joe Palimeno has always been inspired by the work of Landscape Architect Robert Royston, a pioneering modernist who helped define landscape architecture in the early 1940s. Palimeno has said about past designs, “it has always been the driving force in my design work, to create functional and usable outdoor spaces, whether in a backyard garden or a regional use plan. The goal is the creation of delight, joy and serenity for the people who inhabit the space.” In this backyard, where crisp, clean lines run across the lawn to meet a vertical raw wood structure, a space is defined to offer serenity and relaxation.

Beautiful custom pool, spa & cabana designed by Mike Farley in Trophy Club, TX. The spa is the focal point for the home 365 days of the year. It was raised 18" high for comfortable seating and a nice water feature. 3 stainless steel spill edges match the spillways coming out of the fire and water bowls. The silver Splitface Travertine tile matches the coping and porch Travertine. The rolled edge spa tile also matches the tile used on the pool waterline and details. The grade drops in the yard so the back of the spa is bar height so the patio was included for barstools on the back of the spa. The fireplace in the cabana provides screening from the neighbors view. The pool and spa had to be piered because the grade was raised 10' above the golf course. Waterway Jets were used to provide a variety of hydrotherapy options. Beauty and function are the best combination for a spa and this one has it all.

We worked with Jeff Lindfors, an amazing landscape designer here in LA, to create an indoor/outdoor feeling for this home. The shape of the pool was remodeled to respond to the architecture and 60' wide pocket doors. The art is from the Owner's private collection. It's great to sit outside at night and listen to the Hollywood Bowl concerts happening below.

This gorgeous Bartonville project has a Geometric swimming pool with a glass tile raised perimeter overflow spa (vanishing edge). There is also a custom cabana with kitchen, big screen tv, fireplace, Primo grill, overhead fan, cam lights all for enjoyment & relaxation. This bathroom design in Yardley, PA offers a soothing spa retreat, featuring warm colors, natural textures, and sleek lines. The DuraSupreme floating vanity cabinet with a Chroma door in a painted black finish is complemented by a Cambria Beaumont countertop and striking brass hardware. The color scheme is carried through in the Sigma Stixx single handled satin brass finish faucet, as well as the shower plumbing fixtures, towel bar, and robe hook. Two unique round mirrors hang above the vanity and a Toto Drake II toilet sits next to the vanity. The alcove shower design includes a Fleurco Horizon Matte Black shower door. We created a truly relaxing spa retreat with a teak floor and wall, textured pebble style backsplash, and soothing motion sensor lighting under the vanity.

With the custom Gunite pool limited to 12’ x 24’, Betz recommended a visual negative edge. Infinity pools are often designed so the surface appears to merge with the background in the distance. This time it was to make the pool seem larger, especially when you are in it, by creating a spacious open feeling along one side.

This late 70's ranch style home was recently renovated with a clean, modern twist on the ranch style architecture of the existing residence.
