Sherri Blum | Jack and Jill Interiors, Inc.Three year old Avery was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer at age two. Her wish through Make a Wish Foundation was to receive a Fairy Garden Playroom for her sister, Maddy and herself. Avery has gone through so very much in her young life and is such a strong, brave little girl. When Make a Wish coordinator, Jenny Hauser contacted Sherri Blum of Jack and Jill Interiors, Inc. to design this very special room for Avery, we jumped on it. Sherri and her assistant, Lisa O’Brien worked for months meticulously planning the space which included a life-like tree, a custom designed reading nook that we now refer to as the “Fairy Fountain”, a dress up corner, play house, tea table complete with tea set, an art station (not seen in the images, as it was back ordered) and a spot for movie viewing. We solicited the extremely talented Patrice Hoban to paint our fairy mural and she really knocked our socks off with the details! She added glitter and gems and the room really came to life with her vision! We thank Cheryl of Sweet Lullaby for designing and donating the sweet curtains and valances, Chris Jones of Kidtropolisbuild.com for designing the Fairy Fountain reading perch, Levels of Discovery for their donation of the tea table and toybox, New Arrivals, Inc for donating the peg hook, and Creative Carpet Design for donating the monogrammed rug. Avery and her family have a long road ahead of them. They will continue treatments at St. Jude Children’s Hospital (to whom Jack and Jill Interiors has donated monthly for about 10 years) and we will continue to love and pray for this wonderful and inspiring family. Jack CalderoneThis bedroom and full bathroom are part of an adventuresome project my wife and I embarked upon to create a complete apartment in the basement of our townhouse. We designed a floor plan that creatively and efficiently used all of the 385-square-foot-space, without sacrificing beauty, comfort or function – and all without breaking the bank! To maximize our budget, we did the work ourselves and added everything from thrift store finds to DIY wall art to bring it all together.
A partial double closet bar adds a little extra space while still leaving room for longer hanging clothes.
Dura Supreme CabinetryThis award-winning project was what Moceri Custom Homes calls their Modern Prairie style design, a stunning new construction ranch home with an expansive open floor plan. After viewing the plans for the new build, the designer, Sandra Daubenmeyer of KSI Kitchen & Bath, quickly began envisioning a modern design with prairie-inspired, true-brown wood tones, a splash of drama, and lots of natural textures. She selected Dura Supreme’s Bria frameless cabinetry in the Carson door style, achieving a warm feel with Quarter-sawn White Oak in the “Morel” stain finish. Then Sandra added a dash of the “Onyx” stain on the Maple wood species to add some intriguing contrast to a few accent areas.
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) recognized this luxury kitchen with the Platinum award in the Interior Architecture & Design: Kitchen, Production/Spec category at the Best in American Living Awards!

Brett DesignThe bedroom in this New York City home is a multifunctional serene space that satisfies the homeowners need to have a comfortable place to sleep, and for the woman of the house, a place to read and makeup. Our rug for Doris Leslie Blau fit the bill perfectly and unifies the space in soothing pale blue silk. A fabulous matte pale blue clay vase turned lamp sits on a custom Brett Design chest of drawers accented with our Brett Design Shagreen wallpaper. Soft blue glass cantelievered side tables, a mirrored dressing table, and an inviting Holly Hunt chair beautifully fulfill the other utilitarian needs of the room. The finishing touch- the etherial atmosphere is amplified the window treatments in a very simple finely crinkled sheer by De Le Cuona.

Suzanne MacCrone RogersRenovation of a master bath suite, dressing room and laundry room in a log cabin farm house.
The laundry room has a fabulous white enamel and iron trough sink with double goose neck faucets - ideal for scrubbing dirty farmer's clothing. The cabinet and shelving were custom made using the reclaimed wood from the farm. A quartz counter for folding laundry is set above the washer and dryer. A ribbed glass panel was installed in the door to the laundry room, which was retrieved from a wood pile, so that the light from the room's window would flow through to the dressing room and vestibule, while still providing privacy between the spaces.
