Inspiration for a 1960s u-shaped home design remodel in Seattle with stainless steel appliances and an island

This particular picture exemplifies the picture framing on the bench. This customer wanted their deck to have seating around the edge. We built their deck and deck seating out of AZEK composite decking in Slate Grey. It features a double picture frame on the deck and single picture frame on the bench seating. This will be a lovely space for the customer to enjoy the outdoors in low maintenance on the comfort.

Custom Surface Solutions (www.css-tile.com) - Owner Craig Thompson (512) 430-1215. This project shows new 12 x 24 tile installed vertically with offset layout pattern on wall and floor. Includes shower box with linear glass accent tile back and vertical glass accent band. Tile edges are finished with Schluter Jolly satin aluminum profile edge trim.

Divider bin slide out or pull out shelves hold cookie sheets, cutting boards, muffin tins, and whatever other flat kitchen items you may have. Typically we install this type of pull out shelf beside the stove and oven in a narrow cabinet.

Exterior forms are emphasized with glass and fiber-cement panels at the top level, soaring over and sheltering containers clad in tougher, leathery Corten Steel at the ground level. Exposed concrete walls and rock-filled gabion retaining was selected to anchor the partially day-lighted basement level and garages to the land. Materials were chosen to be low-maintenance, relatively inexpensive, and to contrast the volumes that express the interior spaces.

This master bathroom is an oasis of clean, bright design with an abundance of natural light. Our Miami clients wanted a contemporary space, and we gave them hyper modernism with custom materials imported from Italy. A glass walk-in shower with sleek fixtures is a subtle touch to balance the dramatic artwork. This magnificent open kitchen, designed by Curtis Lumber, Inc., makes the most of the lake view. The kitchen features Wellborn Cabinetry in the Bristol Door Style. The perimeter and island cabinetry are Bright White and the Refrigerator Wall is Maple Bleu. The perimeter countertop is quartz and the homeowner built the wood top for the island. Jewett Farms + Co’s Reclaimed Antique Black Walnut flooring has been sourced from turn of the century barns where it was used sporadically as joists, beams and girders. The timbers have a rich, deep chocolate hue with some lighter swirls and an overall sophisticated dark tone. Reclaimed black walnut displays some sound checking, mineral stains, occasional sound knots and nail holes alongside the swirling grain pattern. Black walnut is a versatile and beautiful wood. It finishes well, absorbs shock and shrinks very little when dried making it a prized wood for many applications from gun barrels to airplane propellers. Black walnut makes an outstanding hardwood floor but, because of its slow growth (at least 60 years for a reasonably large trunk), over harvesting has made this a rare species for flooring use. Black walnut is typically cut into very thin sheets and used as veneer. In fact it has become so difficult to get hold of that some states report numerous black walnut thefts each year.
