The kitchen and sunroom were closed off by walls that hindered the flow of traffic and natural light. The new layout is open, airy and features folding LaCantina doors that allow for seamless access to the patio during warmer months. Radiant heating warms the spaces during cooler months. The large kitchen island matches the impressiveness of the rest of the home, especially as your eye catches the cascading marble of the waterfall edge that extends the countertop down to the floor. The landscape design was guided by the owner's desire to: restore the damaged site’s ecosystem, reduce resource consumption and integrate the landscape design with the emerging architecture to produce a home environment that honors its setting.

Spring of 2021, the old concrete was removed and the Bluestone front walk was carried to the side. Grading was done to slope the water away from the west foundation.

After moving into the new home, the lower windows were ready for window treatments while the upper window remained uncovered. The homeowner planned the installation carefully to create a consistent look across the entire two-story living space.
