Girls bedroom that she can grow into. Lots of detail in drapery trim, pillows, lighting. Clean and simple, but with lots of punch from the wallpaper. Bookcase on other side of room is also lined with wallpaper.

Inspiration for a shabby-chic style bedroom remodel

The "private retreat" area and master bedroom were both additions to the house. KHD oversaw construction and design of the rooms. Sofa is custom, in-house upholstery by KHD. Palacek wicker chairs add an eclectic and rustic element to an otherwise very "blue and white" color palette. Ottoman was made from a vintage, re-furbished coffee table and upholstered with a vintage suzani fabric. Rug is Maderline Weinrib. Chandeliers from Restoration Hardware.

Project designed by Minneapolis interior design studio LiLu Interiors. They serve the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, including Wayzata, Edina, and Rochester, and they travel to the far-flung destinations where their upscale clientele owns second homes.
