In this Bucks County Dining Room, we designed, produced, and installed a dual layer of decorative ripplefold floor-to-ceiling draperies (manually operated on ceiling mounted, low-profile drapery tracks). These draperies offer a decorative focal point to the room, while also providing privacy when desired. Typically, the sheer layer of a drapery is spec'd to be installed closer to the glass, with the privacy layer in front of the sheer fabric (inside the room). Because the sheer layer of this application has such visual interest, we swapped the "normal" positioning of the layers to allow the privacy layer to act as a backdrop to the sheer layer, preventing the beauty of the sheer from being hidden behind the solid privacy fabric. In this photo, both layers of drapery are completely closed.

This Farm Pond Renovation in York, PA included removal of the existing land bridge at the back side of the pond that was blocking the stream water flow and also clearing the aquatic weed and other invasive plants from the stream to allow for a better water flow to the ponds edge. We snaked the existing overflow pipe and attempted to clear it of any debris blocking the flow of water. For the new overflow we cleared the existing embankment and excavated a swale at the edge of the pond and created a natural looking stream overflow similar to one we would create in a typical backyard pond or water feature. This was done to prevent and stabilize the eroding bank along the pond edge. Also installed was a large scale pond aerator and aeration system to aide in the overall health and clarity of the pond.

As a 23 year professional in wildlife control, I see hundreds of situations every month with nuisance animals going into places that they don't belong. Some of those places are more common than others. I recently addressed a skunk infestation for a residence in Glen Ellyn, IL. The challenge involved a family of skunks that had taken residence under the front concrete stoop. Concrete and skunks are never a good mix because concrete is porous, when a skunk sprays the odors penetrate and will permeate for months and months as the weather gets warm or humidity rises. In this instance, I visited a client in the old Essex town of Thaxted, who believed that her four square meter Sandstone tiled floor might be suffering from damp issues after lifting up the mats covering the area. However, when I arrived at the property and ran damp tests, I found the issue to be superficial. The Sandstone floor however did require attention in the form of a deep clean and a fresh seal to tackle the white patches and prevent further discolouration. To begin the cleaning process I spread Tile Doctor Remove & Go evenly across the floor. It was left to dwell for approximately 15 minutes, during which time it worked to break down the old sealer remaining on the tiles. I then agitated the area twice over with both a black scrubbing pad fitted to a rotation machine lift away any dirt. The resultant slurry was removed using a wet vacuum and the floor was then rinsed with water and then mixed a strong solution of one part Tile Doctor Pro Clean to three parts water which was used to give the floor a final clean and scrub the grout clean before using the wet vacuum again and giving the floor a final rinse with water. After completing the cleaning process I left the floor to dry over the weekend. Upon my return to the house I proceeded to seal the tiles with three coats of Tile Doctor Colour Grow which is an impregnating sealer that soaks into the pores of the stone and provide durable surface protection going forward. In this Bucks County Dining Room, we designed, produced, and installed a dual layer of decorative ripplefold floor-to-ceiling draperies (manually operated on ceiling mounted, low-profile drapery tracks). These draperies offer a decorative focal point to the room, while also providing privacy when desired. Typically, the sheer layer of a drapery is spec'd to be installed closer to the glass, with the privacy layer in front of the sheer fabric (inside the room). Because the sheer layer of this application has such visual interest, we swapped the "normal" positioning of the layers to allow the privacy layer to act as a backdrop to the sheer layer, preventing the beauty of the sheer from being hidden behind the solid privacy fabric.
