Once a guest bedroom, this space needed to house all sorts of critical activity for the household. It functions as an office, wine bar, coffee bar and laundry room. Office supplies, a shredder and printer are all concealed in the custom cabinetry. Le Grand outlets boast USB charging ports for convenience. The couple's Keurig pods are stowed in a drawer built for such a purpose. A Sub Zero wine refrigerator houses their extensive wine collection. And a laundry with chrome hanging bar and cleanser storage is tucked neatly behind a pair of doors.

As you enter the room from the main hall, one encounters the dining area first. By day it's a pop up office for her with well hidden printer and work papers. By evening its back to dining and entertaining.

Designed with the home office in mind, the MODICA collection includes a Desk and Mobile File Pedestal. The unique platform desk stands securely on a black steel trestle base and features an open storage shelf flanked with two storage drawers. The mobile file pedestal keeps hanging files and supplies close at hand and makes a great home for a printer or all-in-one.

The perfect match & fit to this clients space for the Home Office. The closed door storage below had a combination of file drawer, slide-outs for a printer & paper shredder, lockable storage, adjustable shelving and an integrated power plug in the desk drawer. The dual monitors swivel on their mounts on the wall. The open shelving is adjustable as well. Fluted casing on the tall uppers, the subtle arch and the table posts integrated into the design below add the final personal touches. Although the stain was very dark, their choice of White Oak material allowed the natural beauty of the grain to show through. Very elegant piece!

Dining room - traditional dining room idea in Milwaukee

The room gets divided into three zones: a lounge area for clients, a working area for my Client and a studio space/beveridge bar as a secondary work station. Frequently used office supplies are artfully displayed where they are most accessible. The highly lacquerd storage cabinet gives the room a modern touch. It keeps the working aspects of the room, (printer, shredder, paper, garbage, files, etc.) behind closed doors to maintain the relaxed feeling we are trying to establish. This beautiful and ethereal piece of art, Silver Essence, is by local artist Supria Karmakar.

Sit-Stand desks are gaining popularity in our ever-increasing sedentary culture. As we look for ways to rise from our office chairs, adjusting the height of your work surface has become very attractive.
