Inspiration for a craftsman home design remodel in Houston

Creative concepts by Norm Panczak, and myself Joe Panczak, hand-made every piece of panel, installed them and lacquer sprayed the entire South western Style room back in 2002. My apologize for the poor quality in photos, considering this was the optimal photo quality that I was able to pick up from a bad hard drive. Each piece took about 9 minutes to manufacture (bull nosed edges, then rough sanded, edges, then progressive fine sanding took place, pieces were then installed, pine was lacquer sprayed twice natural in color, then steel wool sanded, then sprayed a third time.)

designed detail of custom cast bronze medallions, sculpted & poured by Matthew & Karine Maynard for this railing in a private home in White Sulphur Springs, West Virigina. Medallions were carved in plasticene and then cast in the blacksmith shop by Matthew & Karine Maynard, and the steel spindles were hand forged, which gives the unique texture you see here. Finished in a clear enamel topcoat and wax.

Beautiful Bathroom Remodel completed with new cabinets and quartz countertops. Schluter Shower System completed with white subway tile and beautiful niche and shelf matching the drain. Client wanted to upgrade their bathroom to accommodate aging and create a space that is relaxing and beautiful. Client remarks "...We wanted it to be a beautiful upgrade, but weren't really sure how to pull the elements together for a pleasing design. Karen and the others at French creek worked hard for us, helping us to narrow down colors, tiles and flooring. The results are just wonderful!... Highly recommend!" See Facebook reviews for more. When this homeowner’s neighbor removed two, two- story-high Ficus trees, her side-yard became baron and sunbaked. Concrete covers virtually the whole area from the house to the property line, but because the side-yard has a lot of foot traffic and serves as a sitting area to the basement apartment, the owner did not want to remove any of the concrete. The solution was to put up fencing to block the view of the neighbor’s house, then upcycle wine barrels and 55-gallon drums into huge planters. The drums are large enough to accommodate a full-sized tree and provide the added advantage of giving height to smaller trees to provide further screening of the neighbor’s house. Everything was painted in bright colors to give the space a cheery Caribbean feel. The neighbor’s tree removal ended up as a blessing in disguise, because what had been a drab trough-way was transformed into a happy patio.
