A recent project that I was privileged and proud to be a part of was the renovation for the new Gennaro’s La Cucina Italian Restaurant in New Braunfels which I started in January and completed in April. The DiMeo family own 5 star Italian restaurants in Houston, Canyon Lake and now New Braunfels. In addition to their signature pasta, fish, and veal dishes, this new restaurant features certified Naples pizza baked in a wood burning pizza oven that was shipped to the restaurant from Gennaro’s home city of Naples. Hand painted murals of scenes from his native home provide a visually pleasing backdrop to the pizza preparation area and throughout the restaurant.

We had the privilege of staging this stunning Paradise Valley estate, designed for the ultimate indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Our approach focused on "quiet luxury"—using high-end materials and sophisticated silhouettes to match the quality of the build. From the spa-inspired primary suite to the entertainer's dream living room, every piece was chosen to enhance the home's natural light and architectural lines. A perfect example of how staging translates "house" into "home."

A beautiful homely feel in this living room created to give you a sense of calm as you entered here. Elevated with amazing views this wonderful home is quite unique. We had the privilege to work with overseas clients to fit this out entirely.

This is another beautiful piece we feel privileged to be a part of creating that was designed by Alicia Jonik of Tracy Lynn Studios. This is definitely the feature piece of this dining area and the seating decision to go without head chairs allows the eye to be drawn to this stunning custom table and base. The base is style lands somewhere between transitional and contemporary which matches the overall vibe of this stunning dining room. It is 2" thick solid Ash wood to carry the load of the 1.5" thick solid Ash table top. The joints are all floating mortise and tenon joinery to ensure durability in this heirloom piece of furniture. There are 3 stretchers that tie the bases together into one unit to connect to the top. The stretchers will keep the top from sagging over time as well as prevent any racking of the outside legs. The base is slotted underneath at the connection points to allow for the substantial seasonal wood movement that will happen from the horizontal stacked plank table top. The top is laced with recessed steel c-channel to give the table a substantial amount of support and help keep it flat over time. The finish we came up with for this table was a custom mix of mid tone earth browns that are accented by whitewashed grain to help tie it to other light tones in the room. What a beautiful space that this landed in. We are thrilled to have our table featured here!

What a privilege to work in this beautiful old Watermill! This was a really special project to be involved in and a challenge we loved embarking on. A painted in-frame shaker kitchen complete with solid oak drawer boxes was the ideal style to work with here. We used a pale ‘winter blue’ tone to lift the overall colour scheme, whilst keeping it classic. In order to reflect more light around the space, we used glass splashbacks behind the Aga and sink. Colour matching the glass panels to the walls means they really blend into the design as well as helping to reflect light. The worktops are a multi-tone granite worktop called ‘Aosta’. This particular granite features almost turquoise and plummy colours that work with both the blue furniture, and the flooring. The island is a real multi-purpose space. It provides a food prep area, integrated hob & oven, plus seating area. Designed in this way, it is the real hub of the kitchen. Previously, the kitchen had felt like two separate areas, but the run of storage units incorporating the old fridge-freezer really ties the spaces together seamlessly. Ample storage and elegant storage solutions were key to this design. Several units were tailor made on site. We designed a run of units to conceal the alarm system, consumer unit and even a hostess trolley neatly out of sight. One of our absolutely favourite areas in this kitchen is our bespoke window seat for the bay window. This little perch looks out over the water and doubles up as extra storage. A great little nook to relax into. The final touch in this kitchen is the lighting under the cabinets and bespoke mantle. At night, this creates a particularly lovely ambience against the backdrop of the running water outside.

We had the privilege to bring a Traditional Mediterranean vision to life, and the result is stunning. ? ? Backyard Oasis: Picture a haven of elegance and comfort – that's what we've crafted in the backyard. A regal upgrade transformed the water feature from Saltillo tile to luxurious Travertine tile with a smooth cap. The new concrete paver patio beckons for gatherings and relaxation. The Alumawood pergola, adorned with lattice and Corbel end caps, stands tall with support from four mason columns. Featuring a convenient electric outlet, it's your retreat within your home. The 9 ft propane BBQ island exudes sophistication with its detailed backsplash, down lights, travertine wall cap, and captivating stone veneer on the front and sides. A wood-burning fireplace adds warmth, complete with fire brick, hearth, seat walls adorned with stone veneer, and a travertine cap. The top and back are stuccoed and painted to match the house seamlessly. ?️ Front Yard Elegance: The front yard is a symphony of aesthetics and functionality. Our courtyard water feature stands as a masterpiece, with meticulous electrical and water line installation, paver re-installation, waterproofing, and a concrete pump. The deco tile, bullnose travertine cap, and stacked stone adorned with Mexican beach pebbles elevate the ambiance and leave a lasting impression. ? After putting in a new swimming pool, our client’s main goal was to create a functional outdoor living space that would accommodate friends and family and satisfy their need for entertaining large groups of people. Progressive Design Build designed a solution that started with a large covered patio and seating area. The renovation focused on building a grilling station that included a curved granite countertop with an area for seating at the end of the cabinet run; and a large grill and hood vent, which allowed for an adequate cooking surface area to accommodate any occasion. We matched the existing brick pavers from an existing area of the home to create a cohesive look and maintain the rustic feel of the backyard. The cabinets were built out of Cypress and stained to match the finish of the newly installed wood patio ceiling. We were also able to supply and install a new fire pit so this family could enjoy the beautiful Florida sunsets with friends and family—the ones we Southwest Florida residents have the privilege of experiencing and enjoying throughout the year.

We started by clearing the slate and saying goodbye to the past. ?️ Grading: A crucial step in ensuring that every inch of this landscape would be just right. The foundation for greatness! ? Hardscape Form Planning: Precision and design expertise came together to plan the hardscape elements that would shape this outdoor paradise. ? New Custom Concrete Pathways inlaid with Mexican Beach Pebbles: We added a touch of elegance and uniqueness with custom concrete pathways, beautifully adorned with Mexican beach pebbles. ? Installation of Hundreds of Plants: Nature was our palette, and we painted it with a vibrant selection of plants, breathing life into this space. ?️ Artificial Turf: Say hello to the low-maintenance beauty of artificial turf. A green, welcoming space year-round! ? Irrigation: To keep this landscape thriving, we installed a state-of-the-art irrigation system, ensuring every plant gets the care it deserves. ? Dakin has been working with the owners of this site realize their dream of cultivating a rich and meaningful landscape around their home. Because of their deep engagement with their land and garden, the landscape has guided the entire design process, from architecture to civil engineering to landscape design. All architecture on site is oriented toward the garden, a park-like, multi-use environment that includes a walking labyrinth, restored prairie, a Japanese garden, an orchard, vegetable beds, berry brambles, a croquet lawn and a charred wood outdoor shower. Dakin pays special attention to materials at every turn, selecting an antique sugar bowl for the outdoor fire pit, antique Japanese roof tiles to create blue edging, and stepping stones imported from India. In addition to its diversity of garden types, this permacultural paradise is home to chickens, ducks, and bees. A complex irrigation system was designed to draw alternately from wells and cisterns. Dakin has also had the privilege of creating an arboretum of diverse and rare trees that she based on Olmsted’s design for Central Park. Trees were selected to display a variety of seasonally shifting delights: spring blooms, fall berries, winter branch structure. Mature trees onsite were preserved and sometimes moved to new locations.
