Our retired clients approached us to renovate the Kitchen and Powder Room in their 1993 home, which they have lived in for 30 years.
As they love to entertain and have visits with their grandchildren, they needed the Renovation to focus on creating an updated and open concept Main Floor to make their home to look and feel more spacious and inviting.
Their Kitchen was outdated and cramped, lacking in counter space and storage. The Powder Room was dated, and the plumbing fixtures were lacking in both looks and function. As they love to cook and bake, a more open and functional Kitchen was a must.
The closed off Main Floor was lacking in flow and function. As the Dining Room and Living Room both felt closed off and isolated, they were often unused. As well, the Main Staircase was carpeted with wooden pickets, and needed a modern facelift.
After working closely with the clients to understand their wants and needs, one of our talented Sosna designers, Camila, was able to create a design plan that not only optimized functionality but also made the space uniquely theirs.
During the planning stage, it was discovered that an exhaust pipe that went from the Basement, and through the Main Floor to the roof could be removed. Removing this pipe freed up a lot of space, allowing for more storage to be added.
Camila then worked closely with the construction area of the Sosna team to provide our clients with the home of their dreams. Our team first removed the walls separating the Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen to create a brighter, more open space. We then brought up an existing window sill to match the window at the Kitchen sink to make space for an extra long countertop and plenty of cabinetry. We built a large peninsula with 4 seats in the Kitchen, functioning much like an Island. The peninsula was positioned to face Kitchen window, providing a direct view to their beautiful backyard.
We made sure to incorporate plenty of storage space, and practical features. Appliance garages were installed to store unsightly small appliances, and a coffee station was added, perfect for mornings and afternoon visits with family and friends.
The Powder Room plumbing was updated, providing the space with a modern look, and more efficient fixtures, and the staircase was given a beautiful modern update that will be much easier to maintain.
Our clients and their beautiful dog stayed with their daughter’s family during the renovation. While it was wonderful to spend time with family, it’s always nice to be home again. Our proven process and detailed planning enabled us to keep our promise to get the project completed on time.
In the end, we were able to create an open concept space that was both inviting and functional, perfect for entertaining and cooking. Our clients were thrilled with the results and have already started planning their next get-together.
If you love your home, but looking to make it more functional and comfortable for your specific needs, we're the Renovator You Can Count On. It's our promise. Contact us to get started!

Head To Head Negotiations Gets Results For Happy Sellers:
When I was introduced to Steven Hill, I knew from the minute we met “this was the guy” to represent me. Steven has a very calm, soft approach to his dealing with people, unlike the ego driven who spout their credentials to impress. He listens to understand what the client wants rather than telling them what he wants. He assured me he was confident in his ability to sell my property without over promising and I was skeptical, but boy did he deliver on that promise, and some.
Let’s start with the brochures. Sotheby’s brochures blow everyone else out of the water. A piece of paper, with black and white photos, gets lost in the bottom of a purse, or garbage bin, but a Sotheby’s brochure is a piece of art. Steven’s photographer created fabulous photos that took my breath away when the brochure arrived. My house looked beyond amazing yet true to the property. This alone sets Sotheby’s far above the rest by doing more than photocopying a sheet of paper to leave an impression. Very impressed.
Steven and I corresponded everyday and, after 5 days on the market, we accepted a conditional offer. I was thrilled Steven got the sale price I wanted, so quickly. Unfortunately, we found ourselves in a tense situation when the home inspector found a breach in our sewer line. Immediately I got a quote for the repairs, and was fully prepared to cover the expense, but the buyer’s realtor was insisting on a sizeable holdback. This is where we witnessed Steven’s negotiation skills under pressure. He went head to head with the buyer’s realtor, as the buyers and ourselves stood by and watched. Steven insisted he would not allow his clients to have an open wallet, while the buyer’s realtor pushed harder and harder. Steven never once showed how irritated or upset he was by this realtor’s aggressive nature and, in a calm voice, kept insisting an open wallet was not going to work. This was a little unsettling with three days left to lift the conditions and I wasn’t holding out much hope the deal would close. Things looked grim, but once again Steven’s abilities and strong connections shone through…. he found a back up buyer who presented an offer we could not ignore. Of course, Steven had to bring this to the first buyer’s attention and, to everyone’s surprise, all conditions were lifted and we had a firm sale. Not only did I get my asking price but I no longer had to cover the repair expense. Steven was nothing but brilliant.
I believe somewhere along the way Steven and I became friends. I look forward to a “Hi Jane” text from him that always makes me smile. I thoroughly enjoy his kind, caring, easy going nature and his wicked sense of humor. I like his Porsche too

Being occupied in heavy workloads, Emma is surrounded by in a gray environment every day. Sometimes, when she takes a break from, she will remember the boy who promised her an iridescent home, but she clearly knows that they had broken up for a long time and she will never what her ex said before he leaves for France.
They hardly have contacted each other during these years. What is more, she heard that his settled down from their common friends. When she is together with her parents, they told her it is time to find a new boy.
Is it time to…? Is it? But she can’t forget her iridescent dream.
One day, she got off work as usual. She saw a man who is standing in the door of her apartment. She recognized him although they had separated for many years.
He walked up to her and lovingly said, “hi, long time no see, how are you? Do I have chance to achieve my promise? Giving you a iridescent dream.”
She can’t help crying for movement, but she asked him why, because he told her that he would stay in France for his further study.
He said, “ I can’t and I will never forget you, so I design a iridescent tiles for you, for our home, when I was learning design in France. It is white and silver, can be used for bathroom, kitchen and backsplash. I think you will like it , don’t I ?”

Choosing between American framed cabinets and European frameless renditions often boils down to personal preference.
While the American framed counterpart emerges as an immensely popular choice, classic white European kitchen cabinets exhibit a timeless charm that one can't ignore.
It's pretty easy to distinguish a framed and a frameless cabinet as one pays close attention.
The American framed cabinets typically have wide gaps around the doors showing the face of the wood.
In comparison, the European frameless cabinets have much smaller gaps (less than a quarter-inch or more). Moreover, they also carry a matching edge band which is visible on the cabinet box, when its doors are left open.
Well, that's there with the basics and many more subtle differences that distinguish one kind from another.
In this post, we take a closer look at both frameless and framed cabinet styles, their merits and demerits, and help you make an informed decision to buy one.
The American Style Face Frames
As the name suggests, face frame cabinets dominate the structure of a cabinet and use comparatively thinner materials for the cabinet box.
One can find additional frame pieces (mullions) that rest right between the door and the face of the drawer.
One of the standout features of American framed cabinets is the doors that remain attached to the face frame and carry hinges concealed within. In such structures, the shelves are generally of half depth and can be hung side up or down according to one’s need.
Face frame cabinets are known to sport doors that are not classic or pure square in shape. Also, they use a trim mold for their finish which measures just about an inch, but wide enough to press on the wall contours. Thus, they are nailed right on the face of the cabinet as well as to the sides to even out the gaps following the installation.
In essence, this particular style of cabinetry is geared towards keeping things under budget and allows the makers to work persistently and create a specific line of products.
The European Frameless Style
Taking a different stance from American face frame cabinets, we have the European Frameless style that views the cabinet box as the main structure.
It goes to work with a thin edge connected to the cabinet box matching the exteriors. The material used for the cabinet box is also thicker and carries quite a bit of weight.
Also, instead of the face frame, the glides for the door and the drawers stay attached to the cabinet box itself. The white European kitchen cabinets also use concealed hinges, which is again chunkier compared to its American counterpart.
While such frameless cabinets can be easily ordered by referring to a catalog, most buyers opt for a custom made product.
Another glaring difference between the two cabinetry styles is how the European frameless renditions work with cabinet doors that are perfect squares, and all lines between the drawers and doors are straight, imparting consistency throughout.
Furthermore, the finishing detail instead of using trim molds are scribed and further cut to fit within the walls.
Delightful enough, one can have a European frameless cabinets customized to their liking, mood, and style. White European kitchen cabinets, unlike framed ones, can be made to look rustic, transitional, modern, or traditional, and could be even a blend of any two styles.
How Do You Know Which Is The Right Style For You?
As mentioned earlier, choosing a particular style of cabinetry is all dependent on your personal preference. However, there are a few merits and demerits to each style.
For instance, the white European kitchen cabinets are extremely high in demand and can offer a rich look and elegant feel to any space.
Even if you go for any other color other than the classic ones, it is the flexibility, the visually stunning appearance, and precise carpentry that goes in its favor.
Come-of-age cabinet makers have a wide range of white kitchen cabinets for sale to choose from. Cabinet DIY is one such professional and passionate cabinet maker that has helped many homeowners pick the right piece for their place. One can order from their website and get it shipped to their doorstep.
It's only evident why this carefully cut and sculpted cabinetry finds its place across leading home decor magazines and websites around the world.
The American face frame cabinets can seldom claim to match the elegance and timeless beauty of white European kitchen cabinets. Also, given the choice, European frameless cabinets have multiple doors and wide drawer banks offering adequate room for storage.
Most importantly, the hardware that goes into the making of a frameless cabinet has everything attached to the cabinet box which promises more longevity, compared to face frame renditions. While the former is more likely to stay the same over several years, the latter is prone to cracks appearing in places now and then, with slides and hinges fitted with screws.
Nevertheless, one of the standout reasons that might give American face frame cabinets an upper hand over European frameless cabinetry is budget.
American framed cabinets using much thinner finish material attributes to lower pricing. Also, given the fact that there isn't much room for exquisite designs, the budget is often an overpowering factor for many buyers.
Wrap up
For anyone who would like to order a cabinet that is aesthetically pleasing and promises endless customization and longevity will side with European frameless cabinets.
In doing so, it is quite probable that pricing won't be a hindrance as one wages the investment for the value the furniture adds to a living space. Something that American face framed cabinets can't seem to match up.

In the heart of Cottingham Street, a journey began—an endeavor to transform a tired, outdated kitchen into a space of modern charm and functional elegance. It all started with a dream, perhaps born over Sunday breakfast conversations or inspired by glossy magazine spreads. You imagined more than just a room; you envisioned a hub, a place where culinary creativity and family gatherings intertwine seamlessly.
First came the consultations, where ideas danced between you and skilled designers, each conversation weaving threads of imagination and practicality. With blueprints in hand and dreams in mind, you ventured into the world of permits and regulations, navigating the bureaucratic maze to ensure your vision could take shape within the constraints of the law.
Demolition day arrived with a symphony of hammers and saws, marking the end of an era and the dawn of a new one. Out went the old, worn cabinets and outdated appliances, making space for the promise of something fresh and exciting. Dust danced in the sunlight filtering through the windows, a metaphor for the transformation unfolding before your eyes.
Amidst the rubble, craftsmen toiled, laying the groundwork for your culinary sanctuary. Pipes were rerouted, wires reconfigured, and walls reshaped, each task bringing you closer to the realization of your dream. It was a dance of precision and expertise, a symphony of progress conducted by skilled hands.
And then, like magic, the pieces began to fall into place. Cabinets rose from the floor like sentinels of style, countertops gleamed with the promise of countless meals shared, and appliances hummed with the anticipation of culinary adventures yet to come. Light flooded the space, casting shadows of possibility across every surface.
With a fresh coat of paint and a flourish of finishing touches, your kitchen emerged from its cocoon of renovation, transformed into a space that felt uniquely yours. It was more than just a room; it was a reflection of your personality, your taste, and your vision for the future.
As the final inspections were conducted and the last details attended to, you stood in the doorway of your new kitchen, a smile spreading across your face. Here, in this space of beauty and functionality, memories would be made, meals shared, and laughter echoed off the walls. It was a journey from start to finish, a testament to the power of vision and the magic of transformation. And it all began on Cottingham Street.

Emma smiled and finally her iridescent dream was came true.

We are a contractor in Doylestown, PA specializing in basement remodeling. Our most recent project involved transforming a plain basement into a stunning living space. The homeowners can now enjoy this beautiful area for many years to come.
The Initial Phase: Design and Planning
Every successful remodel begins with a well-thought-out plan. Our team started by stripping the basement down to its basic structure, preparing to build it back up from scratch. We designed the layout to maximize the space for its new purposes. These purposes include a fun entertainment area, a peaceful bathroom, and an energizing gym.
Upgrading the Essentials: Installation of Core Systems
The next step was to ensure the basement was ready to support the modern amenities we planned to install:
We created a strong network system for seamless home entertainment and communication in the bar and gym areas.
Plumbing: With the addition of a full bathroom and a bar, new plumbing was essential. Our experts installed a system that promised both efficiency and reliability.
We installed new electrical and HVAC systems in the basement. We installed these systems to control the temperature and create a comfortable environment. The purpose of these systems was to provide a comfortable environment for the gym and bar.
The Build-Out: Constructing the Space
With the infrastructure in place, our focus shifted to constructing the main features:
The bar is the main attraction in the entertainment area. The design aims to look good and serve a purpose, showcasing a stylish counter that is perfect for parties and special occasions.
We built a full bathroom in the basement to provide convenience and comfort for anyone using the space.
We created a modern gym for fitness lovers at home, providing everything needed for various exercise equipment.
Finishing Touches: Aesthetics and Functionality
As we neared completion, our attention turned to the details that would make the space truly shine:
We added special lights to improve the atmosphere, with bright lights for the gym and softer lights for the bar.
Using good materials and finishes, we made the basement strong and aesthetically pleasing. We made these choices to match the homeowners’ style and the purpose of each area.
The Final Reveal: A Basement Built for Enjoyment
The culmination of our efforts was a beautifully remodeled basement that promised endless hours of enjoyment. The new bar, bathroom, and gym areas enhanced the space. They transformed it from a simple basement into a central place for activity and relaxation.

LE PIRATE RESTAURANT located in Dubai Marina, United Arab Emirates
This place is about seafood and pirates, two things Emirates are passionate about. They promise and experience to remember starting with the minute their customers step inside. To live up-to that promise, they required furniture that was custom built to their theme and of the highest craftsmanship. After visiting many woodworking factories who didn’t have the capacity/capability to produce the furniture, the owner found us and we gave it a shot. The resulting furniture is for anyone to see, use and judge at the restaurant.
Scope of Project:
Custom Dining Chairs
Custom dining tables
