The existing garage was at a lower grade than the house, so to ensure proper backyard drainage the pool deck was raised one step above the driveway. To move water away from the garage, the driveway was excavated and special catch basins were installed below the flagstone to direct water towards the street.

The stoop required a complete replacement, so after removing the original stoop and discovering that it was not properly tied to the home, we built a new foundation with concrete blocks before drilling rebar into the house and concrete slab. From there, we filled the block cells with concrete before pouring a 2-inch concrete cap on top. To finish the project, we installed a selection of beautiful field stone and created a sturdy footer for the perimeter stone to sit on. To finish, since water control was also a problem due to the fact that the actual home sits lower than the curb, we decided to install a 12-inch by 12-inch landscape drain box at the corner of the walkway to divert all of the water from the driveway into this box. From there, in an effort to make sure the ground water would not compromise the integrity of the driveway, walkway, and stoop, we also connected the down spout into the underground drain system.

This beautiful Grass cloth wallpaper was applied throughout a new construction home above the wainscoting in the entire great room. For those who are new to grass cloth and natural fiber wall coverings, you will always see seams as seen in the photo. It's part of the "character" of the material, giving it it's unique qualities. small size back yard was transformed into a beautiful outdoor cozy living area. thermal top quality smooth finished bluestone was installed on stonedust. bench was constructed of cinder block and then face with blue ridge stone. stone was cut and chipped to size. custom circle seating bluestone treads were installed. fireplace was installed using same stone on outside face with special firebrick inside. vents were left for proper air ventilation . custom bluestone circle treads where installed.

This was the first room to be remodeled in this Cape Cod Cottage. Installation of materials such as tile and stone, required us to shore up the framing in the crawl space. Without the proper structural assessment and restructuring, a beautiful installation can become an eyesore. Budget is almost always a concern for homeowners. Our production crews came in and air sealed all the top plates, the gable wall, around the duct work, and after everything was air sealed our crew finished off the attic by blowing in Cellulose insulation until it reached the proper R-Value.
