This beautiful water feature re-design & remodel was for our client's gorgeous home perched on the cliffs of La Jolla, CA. We redesigned & upgraded the existing water system, removed the leaking and dated stream, installed a new natural garden stream (focused on highlighting the 3 granite cored fountains and the tumbling waterfalls), installed new drainage, irrigation, planting & landscape lighting, as well as flagstone "bridges" for the water feature to cross under existing walkways.

For our full gut renovation of this Manhattan loft penthouse, we partnered with architecture firm Todd Zwigard Architects. Many of our clients know us as experts in the full design-build approach, where we handle every aspect of the project. But in this case, architectural plans were already drawn, the full schedule was finished, and our clients needed a partner to execute on the architectural plans – enter Gallery. Construction management is as vital to a project as the design phase, so we’re happy to offer our expertise in this type of scenario. A DIFFERENT APPROACH Construction and design are often the face of most renovations, but the planning and follow-through are naturally just as necessary to make it all come together. The project itself was a fairly straightforward gut renovation of the loft. Everything was included: new floors, a new kitchen, new bathrooms, new lighting. Our task was to manage every aspect of the construction, ensuring that the planning work of Todd Zwigard Architects was executed to the exact vision imagined for this Manhattan loft renovation. CONTEMPORARY GOES ECLECTIC Although we didn’t contribute to the aesthetic of the interior design in this project, we did carry out the plans that brought it life. The tone was very modern, with some eclectic touches. The kitchen, featuring an island with a baby blue lacquered finish, blends contemporary clean lines into an industrial-tinged, almost futuristic aesthetic. Reclaimed wooden doors and art pieces collected throughout the years are an ode to the client's travels, an artistic touch from Todd Zwigard Architects. LET’S TALK Quality of work is of course important, but there are several components of construction management that are equally vital: communication; processes that make sure you're able to adhere to schedules; protocols with both safety and communication. You might say this is the nerding out of the construction process. I thoroughly enjoyed working with them to put their ideas on paper and create a plan that expressed their (exceptional!) taste and personality, whilst encouraging flow and functionality through the property. The lounge area is a practical and clean area with oodles of comfort to boot! The large, deep seated sofas contrast beautifully with the colours of the armchairs, to make an ecclectic mix of seating that is very pleasing to the eye, set off with the scatter cushions, which bring the scheme together effectively, adding even more comfort. The whole room is a mixture of dark vs light, creating a dramatic, yet cozy, light and spacious space to relax or socialise. The bespoke black framed, sliding glazed frame internal door works perfectly to shut the space of for privacy and sound exclusion, without loosing light to the room. Wide exterior bi-folding doors offer the option of opening the space out to the garden, giving complete connectivite between the two. The ochre yellow, dark forest green, hints of turquoise and oxford blue, team together so well and are set off beautifully by the contrasting natural white walls and the deep blue accent wall, along with the contrasting textures of the tweed curtains, velvet sofas, soft limestone flagstone flooring and high pile rug. A very successful scheme which my clients absolutely adore!

Our Kitchen Design definitely stemmed from our clients being locked down during COVID. Their kitchen was not functioning well for them, they needed better storage space and more of it. Hiding their small appliances, replacing their larger appliances, eliminating clutter and streamlining the design to be more modern were our main goals. We’re always pleased when someone contacts us after reading all of our glowing reviews on Yelp. One was a prospective client who had just purchased a beautiful townhouse with exposed brick and was planning a renovation. He wanted to include a brand-new home theater system along with audio for the home’s indoor areas, outdoor patio and roof desk. We were happy to provide a free DTV Installations consultation and estimate, and once we finalized the details we were able to get to work. We tackled this project in two stages. First, we did all of the required in-wall and in-ceiling wiring while renovation contractors worked to revamp the townhouse. We then returned months later when construction was finished, to install the electronics and accessories.
