When this suburban family decided to renovate their kitchen, they knew that they wanted a little more space. Advance Design worked together with the homeowner to design a kitchen that would work for a large family who loved to gather regularly and always ended up in the kitchen! So the project began with extending out an exterior wall to accommodate a larger island and more moving-around space between the island and the perimeter cabinetry. Style was important to the cook, who began collecting accessories and photos of the look she loved for months prior to the project design. She was drawn to the brightness of whites and grays, and the design accentuated this color palette brilliantly with the incorporation of a warm shade of brown woods that originated from a dining room table that was a family favorite. Classic gray and white cabinetry from Dura Supreme hits the mark creating a perfect balance between bright and subdued. Hints of gray appear in the bead board detail peeking just behind glass doors, and in the application of the handsome floating wood shelves between cabinets. White subway tile is made extra interesting with the application of dark gray grout lines causing it to be a subtle but noticeable detail worthy of attention. Suede quartz Silestone graces the countertops with a soft matte hint of color that contrasts nicely with the presence of white painted cabinetry finished smartly with the brightness of a milky white farm sink. Old melds nicely with new, as antique bronze accents are sprinkled throughout hardware and fixtures, and work together unassumingly with the sleekness of stainless steel appliances. The grace and timelessness of this sparkling new kitchen maintains the charm and character of a space that has seen generations past. Kitchen - traditional kitchen idea in San Francisco

Like most high rises in the city, this kitchen was lacking in square footage. To give the illusion of more space, super white cabinetry from Grabill Cabinet Company and Arabascato quartzite countertops were installed. Perfect for entertaining, dual peninsulas comfortably provide seating for four people. The multi-tiered ceiling provides both general task lighting & ambient cove lighting accentuating the architectural details in this kitchen. The Wolf induction cooktop and single oven, along with the Broan ventilation system, fit perfectly on limited available wall space. Neutral arabesque glass backsplash tile was used on the wall behind the hood to create an eye-catching focal point.

We began our design in this OKC kitchen by re-orientating the layout of the kitchen and all work zones. The homeowners wanted a larger island with space to prepare meals while capturing the impressive lake views to the rear of the home. We replaced the closed in Highbar with an open and expansive island showcasing a lowered eating area, perfect for breakfast and entertaining while meals are prepared. Our mitered door custom cabinets are presented with a sophisticated and up and coming color palette for those that are leaning away from basic white cabinets. To bring more warmth into the space, we stained the rift sawn oak in medium brown and finished with a soft glaze. We then contrast this with matte black interiors in the glass cabinets. The matte black is repeated on the venthood which has been accented with high gloss striping. The large pull-outs flanking the fridge provide plenty of storage, while the integrated backsplash shelf provides architectural interest with additional space for bottles and spices near the induction cooktop. The brushed gold hardware provides the perfect jewelry for the kitchen – now warm, inviting, and irresistible!

Beaux arts architecture of Blairsden was inspiration for kitchen. Homeowner wanted clean airy look while repurposing cold commercial cooking space to an aesthetically pleasing functional kitchen for family and friends or for a catering staff during larger gatherings. Aside from the hand made LaCornue range, no appliances were to be be in the kitchen so as not to interfere with the aesthetic. Instead, the appliances were moved to an adjacent space and celebrated as their own aesthetic with complimentary stainless steel cabinetry and tiled walls. The color pallet of the kitchen was intentionally subtle with tones of beige white and grey. Light was reintroduced into the space by rebuilding the east and north windows. Traffic pattern was improved by moving range from south wall to north wall. Custom stainless structural window, with stainless steel screen and natural brass harlequin grill encapsulated in insulated frosted glass, was engineered to support hood and creates a stunning backdrop for the already gorgeous range. All hardware in kitchen is unlacquered natural brass intentionally selected so as to develop its own patina as it oxides over time to give a true historic quality. This black, gray and gold urban farmhouse kitchen is the hub of the home for this busy family. Our team changed out the existing plain kitchen hood for this showstopper custom stainless hood with gold strapping and rivets. This provided a much needed focal point for this lovely kitchen. In addition, we changed out the 36" refrigerator to a roomier 42" refrigerator and built-in a matching paneled refrigerator cabinet. We also added the antique gold linear hardware and black and gold lighting to give it a streamlined look. Touches of black tie the kitchen design into the rest of the home's mostly black and white color scheme. The woven counter stools give the space a touch of casual elegance. A new champagne gold kitchen faucet and potfiller add additional style, while greenery and wood accessories add a touch of warmth.
