Kitchen/dining room combo - mid-sized light wood floor and beige floor kitchen/dining room combo idea in Portland Maine with white walls and no fireplace

We mixed regular flat shelves – perfect for storing larger items, or things you don’t need everyday – along with angled shoe shelves – which offer the ability to see exactly what you need at a glance – perfect for busy mornings. We also created a variety of hanging storage spaces, maximizing capacity by having shorter hanging areas for shirts and bottoms, alongside a longer space for dresses and formalwear. Storage drawers complete the space with room for undergarments, hosiery and socks. The entire closet storage system was finished in white with shaker drawer fronts and glass door inserts, offering a classic, crisp feel.

Throughout the house, irregularly shaped millwork door panels overlap with adjacent cabinet boxes to create interlocking planes. Staggered gaps in cabinet doors and drawers serve as handles, creating playful patterns.

Living room - modern living room idea in Toronto

An existing deck, completely disconnected from the 20 feet below backyard space. The client desired a physical connection to the lower space, with a new hot tub and fire pit as priority uses. Working with a tight space, and through several alternative solutions, a final design was chosen with a series of stairways, landings and a small overlook deck, with a short set of steps to the new ground level uses. An aesthetic solution for a functional need.
